It was beautiful the fireplace and furniture and decor was so homey and wonderful. Loved soaking in both the hit tub outside and the wonderful indoor jacuzzi tub. The owners were friendly and non intrusive during our stay letting us know they were available but felt us to enjoy the property. The book with local attractions and restaurants was so helpful as we had never been in the area. I would recommend this property to anyone we who plans to stay in the area it was close to lots of attractions and restaurants. Overall we had a wonderful experience staying for our Anniversary trip.

Somewhat disappointing. My cozy room was tiny, poorly laid out. Blinds secured to window frame so they couldn't be raised. Old musty caroeting. Not at all like the description. Innkeepers were very nice, clearly love what they do.

Clean, convinient, many ammenities, wonderful owners, great breakfast, close to few local attractions

These guests booked the smallest of all of our rooms. We do have pictures so guests can see the size of the rooms. If guests wish to have a larger room, please inquire and we can help find a room that is more suitable. The carpeting is not old and musty, it is only a few years old. The lodge, however, was built in 1936 and the walls and ceilings are all wood, original to the property, so the wood may be what the guest was referring to, though it is not "old and musty", it just smells like "wood". If guests are not used to wood walls and ceilings this may be a different smell than one is used to, but it is not an musty and old smell. The blinds the guests are referring to are the blinds on the french doors which open to the private balcony this room has. Those must be secured down or they will flop around every time the doors are opened. They can be opened and closed for light or darkness, whichever the guests prefer. The blinds in the other windows are not fixed so those can be raised and lowered, in addition to being open or closed.
