Renovated very nicely, great value

Its an old motel that has been renovated very nicely so a great value and I'll definitely stay again as it worked well to go to Markleyville for the day.

Great place to stay when visiting the hot springs in nearby Bridgeport. And don't miss out on the Raspberry Elk Chops at the Topaz Lodge Casino Steakhouse just 15 minutes north of Walker. Delicious! 🤤

Very comfortable, easy to access

We had a great stay at the historic Walker Motel! From the outside it's a typical, retro motel with a lot of charm but inside, we found a real little modern apartment with all the comforts of nice hotels. The bed was very comfortable, the place easy to access and the landscape very beautiful. We recommend!

Very clean, quiet, and felt completely safe

I had an excellent stay. The room was very clean, quiet, and felt completely safe. All kitchenware was in perfect condition, and everything I needed to prepare simple meals was provided. The host responded immediately when I requested salt, which I appreciated. Despite the proximity to the highway, my corner room was peaceful and comfortable. Thank you for a pleasant and well-organized stay.

Complete with kitchen cooking supplies

We booked day of check in, and had a response and way in within the hour. My first time using the app and it went off without a hitch and I believe that was completely due to the amazing host. The place was just as cute and the photos. Complete with kitchen cooking supplies, bathroom with heated floors! The very large bed, TV. We even sat outside on a deck with seating. There was a bbq if needed. If we ever head this way again, this will definitely be our spot. Thank you so much!

Great place to stay

What a great place to stay on the 395! I wasn't sure what to expect when we booked and I am so glad we decided on the West Walker historic motel. My husband had a motorcycle event at Topaz Lake and everything around it was sold out. I was coming just to hang out so I needed a cozy spot that I could hang out, work and watch movies in. This motel was perfect! Other reviewers mentioned the WiFi was weak but that wasn't my experience. I was able to stream movies and work at the same time no problem. (Other reviews also mention to the noise of the road- that's unavoidable, you are staying off of a highway! It's 2025- bring headphones or ear plugs if you are traveling!) The overall vibe was very clean and well cared for. The remodel and finishes were tastefully done. The property is definitely maintained and loved. Would stay again/recommend to others.

Not up to par. Bed linens had not been changed but just made up. Pillows smelled dirty, greasy. Bath towels were fresh though. Bathroom appeared clean. Seemed many kitchen utensils had been removed and not replaced. Refrigerator had not been wiped out. Housekeeping was clearly not doing their job. I would not recommend.
