Great little getaway.And we enjoyed our timeBut we do suggest that they put in lights to the property as we arrived at night time and found it very very hard to find. There were no signs or directions on the road to suggest where to goAs it’s in the country this made us feel very stressed as we had to approach your house to find the location. We would recommend that they updated a little bit around the place example couch. But it was clean and comfortable with all we need

Quiet rural property ideally suited for access to the North Side of the Rangitata River mouth

The property is sited on a farm. It is well away from an unsealed road (no traffic noise) and from the farm house. I think I may have heard a chain saw for a short while. In case you are worried there are no farmyard 'smells'. Check in and instructions on how to find the property were great. The manager replied promptly to my questions. I saw no one else, but I could have walked to the farmhouse if there was a major problem. The property is a converted shipping container, that is light, airy and was easy to warm up. The kitchen and shower were good. The view was lovely. I have no criticism what so ever. Like most of the Canterbury beaches south of Christchurch are NOT for swimming. In hindsight I should have taken my surfcaster rod.

Great Weekend Getaway

Impressed both me and my partner for our Anniversary Trip, amenities were abundant for the size of the building, super scenic on clear mornings (Mt Hutt, Taylor & Harper visible) making it perfect for casual or experienced photographers (especially with the amount of native Fauna flying around). Ashburton, Geraldine and Lake Hood all reachable in 25-35min depending on traffic,otherwise a great location away from everything but close enough to major towns to have a great weekend away in Mid-Canterbury.

Very peaceful rural hideaway

Coldstream isn't on the tourist track but that was the point, just to get away from everything in a quiet rural setting. The rhythms of the surrounding farm were very peaceful and the nearby coast was good to explore. Only 40 minutes drive to great tramping too. The cottage was small but perfectly formed - great kitchen, awesome shower pressure, cosy at night, and spotless. Some wee treats provided by the host were a nice touch. Thanks for a great stay.

Flying visit

On my way through the area I needed a place to stay, somewhere quiet,nd beautiful. I was impressed with the canin and tranquil surroundings. Having the bwach 2 minutes away was perfect!

Diamond in the Rough

What a great place - in the middle of a farm, totally private, gorgeous cherry blossoms from every window with paddocks and mountains in the background. Spotless, comfy (double) bed, air conditioning, great TV channels, oil heater if needed as well as bathroom heater and even managed to fit in a washing machine. Above and beyond our expectations - the shampoo, conditioner, body wash were divine. Highly recommend - easy to get takeaway in Ashburton 20 minutes away if you don't want to cook.
