Lovely hotel

Lovely place, would have been perfect if the breakfast was better. The coffee and juice were too watered down and there wasn’t much choice with the hot breakfast. The gym needs an overhaul and more equipment in.

Really nice hotel. Managed to use gym and pool aswell. Breakfast was really good and well presented. A little annoying you have to take the towel from your room to use at the pool. Parking is an additonal charge.

We were given 4 beds having booked as 6 people. Also I assumed to be given interconnecting rooms but I wasn’t given that. I was told at the reception that I had to book that in advance which I didn’t know. Overall I wasn’t happy with the stay. The breakfast buffet was basic. There was no option for non pork sausages/ bacon. There was no hot milk. No hot porridge. The beds were comfortable but linen was dirty, had dirty marks on them. The duvets felt strange like they were smaller than the beds sheets. Overall not worth the price. Not family friendly suitable for couples maybe

Great overnight stay and convenient for Colchester

Fantastic proce for sunh a good quality hotel. We stayed one night because we were going to a concert in Colchester. We jumped on the train at Marks Tey, maybe 10 mins walk, and were there super quick. Very convenient. The room was really nicely furnished and clean, with some nice little touches you dont get with Premier Inn. Breakast was buffet, and perfectly fine with hot and cold choices. Parking was £8/day. Really pleased with our choice.

Dog Barking ruined our stay

The hotel was lovely and clean. Our stay was ruined by a dog barking all morning! We had a night away from the kids first time in years - we expected a nice lay in but was woken at 7:30am by a dog continuously barking in the room opposite - it was still barking at 10:30am when we left.
