We were lucky enough to stay for three nights at the Trident. When we first arrived, we were a bit concerned that we were so far from the city, but after a couple of days of intense touring, were so happy to return to our comfortable, quiet piece of heaven in Cochin! Our room was very comfortable - the bed was one of the best we slept in during our month in India! We got plenty of coffee in our room (always appreciated). The room was meticulously clean, and we were pleased there was a clothes line in the shower for us to get some washing done during our stay. We enjoyed room service a couple of times, and the food was delicious! The staff are super attentive, so friendly and helpful. One small flaw was that our shower leaked onto the main floor, which should be fixed. The pool and garden area was lovely to sit in and relax, and was beautifully maintained by staff, who never seemed to stop working. Would definitely recommend Trident Cochin to any traveller for a very pleasant, relaxing experience.

My experience has been bad even before we reached the place. After booking the hotel n payment made , they said that our room has been cancelled and that it was not booked for the date we told. But after a lot of argument over the fone and after showing the printout they accepted our booking.Being a 5 star hotel one would definitely expect a lot.But everything was disappointing.Ambience is average, decor is average and service is poor. The breakfast was good.I think the staff are totally inexperienced. But the manager finally apologised for whatever happened.Good we stayed only for one night.

Knowing that Trident Cochin is part The Oberoi Group I checked-in with high hopes but left underwhelmed. The hotel is located on Willingdon Island, which has all the charm of an industrial estate; both Fort Kochi and Jew Town can be reached by ferry (if you can find the pier). The bedrooms are comfortable but mine had an unfortunate whiff of patched-up damp. The outside space is a simple courtyard and the pool is worryingly green with algae. The hotel provides just nine sun-loungers, meaning my final afternoon in India was spent on an uncomfortable wooden chair. I booked a massage and spent and hour and a half in a brightly lit room with no music. The ayurvedic massage and shirodhara (oil dripped on the forehead) were alright but not the best I had while in Southern India. The bar service is painfully slow and the lounge area has a large TV screen showing sport. The restaurant food and service is good and I very much enjoyed ordering Indian wines from a knowledgeable and passionate waiter. The Trident Cochin is fine but soulless; it lacks personality, doesn’t have views or a single feature that says “this is India”.

For obvious reasons its a 5 star hotel, Trident Kochi. Had a 2 nights stay here with family and would definitely recommend anyone wanting a relaxed luxurious holiday. Food is great, every employee we met was 'all smiles' and welcoming. We travelled with a baby and that made it even more a reason to appreciate the kinda care they would take to cater to the baby's needs, with or without you asking for it. The best memory we carried back was a surprise cake arranged for us on a birthday by the hotel staff, which was really overwhelming. Thanks guys ! Meant a lot for someone whom you barely knew. The rooms were good, not very spacious but would fit in two adults with a baby comfortably. We got a pool view room, which was good for our evening teas and morning coffees. The pool was huge, well maintained, and had a guard on duty. However, just two cons I could point out - 1) the location per se is very far from the city..so you need to have a car in hand to move around and also the nearest store or supermarket (we found) was about 5-6 kms from.the hotel. 2) The corridors were a little gloomy and had a musty odour to them...may be due to old upholstery or so. Overall, a good stay and were made to feel like guests..truly :)

A Trident fan always .. I didn’t think twice before I booked the rooms here ... the hotel is an hour’s drive from the airport and the check in was hassle free... however it was a little disconcerting to note that when we made some enquiries if the restaurant was open as we checked in somewhere around 3 pm ish... the response was very reluctant saying some of the items would not be able etc .. no one who checks in at odd hours will expect or throw a tantrum if their favourite dish was not available .. what a tired customer will expect is some food so I am constrained to give a 4 rating here as the expression of the woman was a little condescending ... also this hotel has great Kerala decor but there is nothing innovative and the place lacks any oomph factor as compared to it’s counterpart trident locations ... there are no gift shops and the views from the rooms allotted to us was horrid .. we couldn’t have a view and had to keep the curtains shut as there were a lot of folks at the pool .. the rooms were old and the bath tubs were ancient and had some cracks here and there .. no toothpaste no iron ... and iron was brought after calling the reception twice ... anyway the highlight of my stay was Vipul who has an eye for service and attention to detail .. the Gobi paratha I ordered came in late so he kept apologising profusely and made sure we didn’t feel annoyed about the wait up ... the food was great and I love the strawberry cake which was too delicious.. trident Cochin needs to take cues from trident Hyderabad on what service means ... if not for Vipul I would have had a disappointing experience.. hats off to him !!

We stayed there for a night and I must say that the staff members are wonderful. They are very helpful and always smiling. Few names that I would like to mention are Krishnaraj from the reception and Vipul from service. All of them were very courteous, professional & polite, and they really made us feel like home. Will definitely promote your hotel among my friends and we are coming back for sure.

Trident, kochi was one of the best hotels in the hood. They have a five star service and EVERY staff is a pleasure to work with. They try to work with your smallest of request to the biggest of favors. I told the manager there, Mr. Krishnaraj and Kinshuk. that i am here in on exploring the kerala cuisine and they were extremely nice enough to offer an EXCLUSIVE COMPLIMENTARY cooking class just for us. It was such an great experience. The kitchen manager Kumaran welcomed us in the front and walked us through to the class and chef Riswan, patiently taught me 3 kerala exclusive dishes. They make things happen for you. Just talk to them and they will get the moon for you :) Trident has an inhouse massage place. DO NOT MISS IT.. That girl who did my massage and her name is shalini and his name was Vipin. They was magical. they prob had 2L of ayurvedic oil on us.. which left our skin almost so shiny and smooth. They dont not talk much and that honestly was so peaceful and quiet experience. Truly exhilarating. These people bend backwards to help you. Honestly, every staff here is a pleasure to work with.. Please do visit them at your next stay.

Trident Cochin is Simply Superb!!! Located away from the Hustle Bustle of the City, the rooms are Cozy and Comfortable. Swimming Pool area is amazing and well maintained. The most incredible & distinguishing thing about the Hotel is its eager to help and assist staff. During our stay Sebu and Elizabeth were impeccable and always keen to walk the extra mile to make our stay memorable. Kudos Team - Trident!!!

The level of friendliness and customer service at this hotel was just great. From the time you arrive, you are surrounded by happy smiling faces and great hospitality. It was a nice feeling when the boys would join their hands and say namaste with heads bowing down in respect. There was one young boy Anandu, especially whose smile and politeness would brighten our hearts. He was such a sweet boy! Also commendable is the good command of english that all the staff had, starting from reception to the restaurant. This was appreciated as otherwise, outside the hotel, not all the locals spoke english or hindi and communication was difficult. The girls in the spa however did not speak much english. A special thanks to all the front office staff and to the staff in tbe restaurant who made our stay memorable.Awami,Vipul,Saranpreet,Anandu,Krishnaraj and Arsh. The hotel is not too big or spread out but its cosy and comfortable.

My family and I stayed at the Trident Cochin for two nights in March 2018. We stayed in two rooms, side-by-side. We found several things to really like about this hotel, but there were a couple of things that would probably lead us to stay somewhere else if visiting Cochin again. Here are the highlights: * Service -- the service was uniformly excellent. We found the staff extraordinarily friendly and helpful throughout. They appeared to make every effort to assist in a variety of ways. * Breakfast -- the breakfast buffet was varied and tasty, with made-to-order egg dishes. All that said, we were disappointed by several things: * The bouncy beds -- the mattresses allow for a great degree of motion transfer, such that even the slightest movement by your partner is felt on the other side of the bed. This was so bad, that we changed one of our rooms, from a room with a king size bed to a room with two twins. Thankfully, the staff was very accommodating on this switch. * Scent of mildew -- in all three of the rooms we spent all or part of our visit in, there was an scent of mildew as soon as one walked in, probably due to air conditioning ductwork that needs cleaning. We mentioned this to the management, twice, but it was unclear whether anything was done about it in any of our rooms. * The green tinted pool -- the pool is located in a lovely courtyard within the center of the property, but it had a strange green tint to it. Up close, the water looked clear and clean enough, but from a distance it was unmistably green. Not enough chlorine? Or just pool tiles that hadn't been scrubbed in a while? * The toilet seats -- okay, admittedly, this is a really minor thing, but ... Are cheap, thin, poorly secured plastic toilet seats really what one expects in a 4-star hotel? This is something we again saw in each of the three rooms we experienced during our stay. I know we're nitpicking now, but it just impressed me as not up to snuff and perhaps a lack of attention to relatively minor details like this. In sum, while we enjoyed Cochin, I'm not certain we'd stay at this property again.
