NH Coatzacoalcos

The hotel is clean, the bed was excellent, the staff is very friendly and helpful, and the restaurant is also very good. I stayed at this hotel for a month-long trip to Coatzacoalcos, and it was a very good experience. Will definitely stay there again next time I'm in town. Also, the hotel is in a very good location, easy to get into an out of, and is quiet.

Clean hotel, good room, free wifi and best location (close to Wallmart, Soriana, Cine, Mega, etc.). Breakfast starts eatly and is simply, but good. Air conditioning is noisy and food is not best ever. Liked the tacos, salmon and hamburger. Not much the pasta.

On the outside, the paint is peeling off of the hotel. It looks dingy, and I wasn't sure if I would enjoy my stay. However, once inside, my room was quite clean and comfortable. My air conditioning unit was capable and not any louder than a normal A/C unit. The staff were friendly. I only have two complaints. The first is that the gym is around the block and is a separate entity. I couldn't find the motivation to get dressed and walk there after dinner. My other complaint is that my door locked me out on three separate occasions. Finally after the third time, the maintenance staff replaced the battery in the key scanner. Another word of advice: The website says that some of the rooms on the 3rd and 4th floors have "sea views". I was on the 3rd floor, and my "sea view" was through buildings... It wasn't anything to write home about.

Good location Good service but rooms need an upgrade, mainly bathrooms. Breakfast is OK and waiters are very helpful Don't expect an NH style, despite the name. Food options could be better, but there are nice options within a 5-10 minutes drive

I just stayed one night here, expecting to have a good room, good amenities and good service from a NH Hotel, but what you get is a very old hotel, with poor mantainance, broken parts and not so comfortable. Personnel tries to be kind and to help always. This is the only positive aspect.

An older building, showing its age. Hallways are dark and uninviting. Problems with the reservation. The first room was quite depressing. The walls needed a good coat of paint, the curtains didn't close properly and the AC was old and noisy. Moved to a different room the second day and it was in better shape. However, amenities were missing (soap, shampoo) and one bottle of complimentart water was replaced once in 3 days. At check-in, I thought they were taking my credit card for incidentals, as it turns out they billed the four days entirely and overbilled (actually charged double). The front desk did inform me of the mistake and told me to write an email requesting the refund to my room charges. I wrote the email and upon check out was presented with a statement showing the amount to be credited. To date there has been no refund applied to my credit card account and after sending several emails and receiving no reply, I do not believe they will resolve the problem. Based on this hotel, I will do my best to avoid ever staying at a hotel in the NH again.

Worth the money! Very good hotel but it's far from the beach.

I stayed one night in February 2012, on business. The property was OK but not what I've come to expect from the NH chain after staying at their properties in Mexico City and Guadalajara. The wireless service was fine, as was breakfast, but there was 2-3 cms of water in the hallway on the 3rd floor that I had to walk through to get to my room. This is not a new hotel, it is obviously an older property that the NH acquired and renovated. The renovations are OK but the rooms could still use some upgrading, as well as the hallways. The hotel is in the centre/west part of the city. I had a meeting the next day in Agua Dulce and next time I would choose a hotel closer to the east side of town.

My experience as a customer here was rendered excruciating by the problems I had with my reservation. I had booked and payed with travelocity.com (where I have had no previous problems) and the hotel didn't have my reservation. Even though I had printed confirmation they wouldn't honor it immediatly and it took over a week for me to get a straight answer from someone if they would not charge me the rate for the room. Even now I haven't gotten my money back from them. Worst of all is they would leave hanging on the phone for 10 or more minutes before I dialed again and had the same respones. My requests to speak with the manager (Omar Mayo) were never heeded as he was always in a meeting or at lunch. They never returned my phone calls or sent me an e-mail with information towards resolving my situation. This whole experience will probably make me never stay at an NH property (even though previous stays in other cities had been excellent). Regarding the rooms I would call them nothing special, with acceptable beds. TV´s were old (though it was nice they had a printed channel guide). Hallways were not air conditioned (which is a pain in a hot city such as Coatzacoalcos). Room Service was pretty good with a fine Club Sandwich and prompt service. Restaurant was a simple affair though Breakfast was a tasty experience with a local dish of spiced Chinameca Meat.

Not good hotel. Windows do not open. Towels are very old. The rug in bathtub with mold. The breakfast is not good. I do not recommend this hotel.
