The cabin was so cute, had everything we needed, and the view was incredible. The pictures online do not do it justice. The location is a great home base for many area hikes, towns, and wineries. I found this listing based on its proximity to my favorite winery (Limoges Cellars). My group especially loved the hot tub, which heated beautifully! Direct foot access to Mount Yonah was great too. Don’t hesitate in booking!

My husband and I and our 2 children (late 20’s) and their spouses enjoyed hot tub time, meals, games and hiking! The view from the cabin is so great - better than any hike! Families with little kids need to be careful with stairs - but we don ’t have any little ones yet. Host was awesome, very informative & attentive.

The cabin was mostly private and the views did not disappoint. The view from the deck was outstanding. We could hear the neighbors when they were on their back deck and also smell their cigarette smoke but both of those were fine overall and didn’t impact our stay. Cleanliness of kitchen utensils and blackstone was lacking however. The king bed upstairs was also in need of an upgrade in our opinion. Guest instruction binder was also outdated and we found ourselves going back and forth in Vrbo app and binder to find the correct information (WiFi password for example was incorrect in the binder but correct in the app). Overall we enjoyed our stay and can see ourselves returning in the future.

All of the great reviews of this property are correct. It is well managed, very "homey" and the views are stunning! My wife and I were celebrating our 42nd wedding anniversary and loved the hot tub with a couple of glasses of wine each night. The surrounding countryside is gorgeous. I had a little problem with the wi-fi and the host quickly and graciously set me on the right path. We would love to stay there again.

Absolutely stunning property! Wonderful amenities, very spacious and views from back deck are the best. Very easy to access, being only a few minutes from town, but once on the mountain, it's as if the world melts away! Easy to get to the trailhead for hikes. Alan was an amazing host, quickly answering any questions that we sent to him, and stocking the home with everything that we would need for a wonderful week. We will definiteily return!

Perfect view
We weren't able to be at the home much as we had many events scheduled. However, it is perfectly lovely and exactly as described. I wish I had had more time to spend on the porch overlooking the mountains...the view is breathtaking. Alan was an extremely responsive host if we needed anything so I would certainly recommend this home. (I would recommend a vehicle capable of mountain road travel for some of the hills.)

Great Getaway
First, this property / setting is amazing. Nestled on a hill overlooking a beautiful valley with great views, the description of the cabin was spot on. The cabin itself was spacious with a comfortable porch for lounging. The hot tub and griddle were nice additions for hanging out at the cabin. Our host was attentive and available for questions which we appreciated. Another nice thing about this property was being able to bring our Cane Corso - it was her first long road trip (from Sarasota) and she absolutely loved the mountain hiking trails and the cabin porch. I definitely will book this property again with the only (minor) concern being the long drive from FL.

Family Getaway
We had a wonderful stay at this cozy family owned cabin. The pictures do not do justice for the gorgeous views. If you’re looking to get away from the daily “hustle and bustle” while keeping the comforts of home then this place is just what you need. It’s conveniently located to Helen while many other opportunities for adventure await nearby. Alan and his wife Sheelyn, are terrific hosts & kept me well informed from the time we booked almost a year in advance until the time we left. They also provided a wealth of information on the area. I genuinely look forward to coming back next winter.

Thanksgiving Getaway
We had a wonderful time spending Thanksgiving weekend at Soaring Hawk. The cabin was clean and beautifully decorated and the views were amazing. It was great to be able to warm up in the hot tub even on the cold days. Private access to hike up Yonah Mountain was an awesome perk. (It’s a rough hike, but worth the gorgeous views). The cabin had plenty of room for the five of us, and we had lots of options to keep warm with 2 fire pits, and gas logs. Also it’s close to plenty of great local restaurants as well as downtown Helen. I don’t think there is anything we were missing, and we’re already talking about coming back next year. I couldn’t recommend this cabin highly enough!

Beautiful sunrises and great location!
Our baby gets us up before sunrise and I was thankful for it during this trip! The sun rises right in front of you as you sit on the spacious back deck. The beds are all very comfortable. The kitchen has everything we needed, including a coffee maker (you do not need to bring filters), crock pot, sheet pans, and pots and pans of all sizes. Bring your own laundry detergent if you’re staying long enough to need to do 2 loads of laundry. It’s about 15 minutes to Yonah mountain vineyards and it’s a very easy drive to Helen! The hot tub was very nice. We wish we were there longer to have enjoyed it more! We shared the living area with a number of carpenter ants, but our toddler enjoyed them and they stayed in the living room for the most part. Overall, our stay was relaxing and much needed to wrap up summer.
