Birthday at Bald Eagle Lodge

Amazing views and a great location was enjoyed by my family and friends as we celebrated my daughter's 40th birthday! The cabin was stocked with everything we needed for a large group. We had plenty of space and the kids (and adults) thoroughly enjoyed the game room. We had a peaceful dinner on the deck as we enjoyed the beautiful views. I can't say enough about the host, Mr. Craig. He made sure that check-in went smoothly and we had everything we needed. I highly recommend this lodge and plan to visit again in the near future!

Family weekend to Helen

We enjoyed our family weekend at Bald Eagle Lodge. Our grandsons ages 8-15 loved the game room and the hot tub was a highlight for the adults. We would likely make a trip back in the future.

Fantastic views

The cabin was clean and spacious. 5 couples could stay here, each with a bedroom. The kitchen was well stocked. The neighborhood is quiet and gated. It is in between Helen and Cleveland. We enjoyed playing air hockey and shooting pool. The hot tub is small, 2-3 people. The beds are memory foam. I did not sleep well nor did my friends. The pool table needs new felt bad.

Wonderful stay with family!

This property had everything we needed! The views over the mountains were just beautiful. We used the hot tub every day and enjoyed the view from there! Kitchen had everything that you could use to cook. Game room downstairs was lots of fun. Bedroom loft upstairs had a beautiful view of the sunrise over the mountains every morning. Property host was so easy to work with and answered questions right away. Close to lots of fun shopping as well as hiking and waterfall activities. We would definitely go back again!

Beautiful perfect cabin

Our stay was exactly as I imagined from the listing. The cabin is well repented and the descriptions are spot on. The mountain road is gravel and intimidating to us non mountain people but we were totally fine and pros by the end. The parking spot at the top of the road is big enough for a full size SUV (Buick enclave for us) and the driveway has several other spots that are convenient to the cabin door. The cabin has everything you could ever need in the kitchen and we enjoyed the black stone flattop so much we are getting one now too! Two rooms and a bathroom in the mail level and tons of room in walkout basement. Decks on both levels is also a big plus! The loft room is as it sounds, open to the living room below and open to sound and light. I packed an eye mask to be safe when that sun would rise before I was ready to start the day. Glad I did but…I got up many of the days to watch the sunrise because it is truly sensational!!! Wow!!! I’m not a morning person but it was too beautiful to miss. The views are incredible and we saw deer and a little bear in the wooded area along the mountain road. The cabin is close to Helen and Cleveland which was nice for groceries and dinner. About 10 mins to either location. Checking in and out was super easy and communication was very timely and professional. This is an owner that takes pride in your stay and has the resources to be sure you are more than 100% satisfied. We loved our stay and felt very much at home.

Perfect for my family

We were tucked away in a nice private neighborhood nestled on Yonah Mountain. It was still daylight when we checked in, so we were able to view the property easily. My husband and I took the master loft. The bed was so comfortable. The view of the sunrise every morning from our bed took our breath away. Kitchen is a little small for our family of 8, but we maneuvered around it. Enjoyed the hot tub the whole week we were there. A little dissapointed that the grill was replaced with a blackstone griddle, but we made it work. We cooked for every meal either outside or in the kitchen. We never had to waste our budget eating out. Our kids are 15-22, and they enjoyed the game room every night. Our family of 8 had such an amazing time. We definitely recommend this cabin for your stay. The couple of times I had questions for the owner he responded in a timely manner and made sure our needs and questions were taken care of.

70th Birthday Weekend

Everything went well for the most part as we celebrated a 70th birthday. Weather could have been better, but we made do with games, movies, campfire s'mores, etc. Great views and enjoyed our family getaway (2 parents/2 sons and daughter-in-laws/1 grandchild/2 dogs).

Pros: We visited Helen to relax with views and also play pool and air hockey. The views were great! Kitchen was aptly set up and we enjoyed the firepit. The bedrooms were great and as described. There was updated internet and USB chargers everywhere, which is a plus. Ping pong was just fine. Plenty of towels. Fireplace worked well. Needs improvement and updating; pool table is in need of replacing. Air hockey is in need of replacing. We made it work. There was cigarette butts and other trash by the firepit and there were crumbs of food from prior residents lining the stove sides.

A great weekend getaway

My extended family had a wonderful weekend and the views are truly breathtaking. (Once we were able to see them - it rained the entire weekend until the morning we had to leave!) The owner was fantastic and his communication and directions were top notch. I note just just a couple downsides -- the cabin was very dusty and the living space is smaller than it appeared in the listing. But all and all, a wonderful weekend and we will likely be back!
