While working in the area, I needed to stay over one night. Selected this property from the Wyndham list. Check in was OK, but when I checked the room, there were far too few outlets for the lamps, TV, etc. Desk scrounged around and found a triple tap adapter so I could use the compact desk and plug in my notebook computer. Wi-Fi was OK. Room was musty, so I left the door open for about a half hour to air it out. TV and cable channels were very good. Continental breakfast was lacking in some items and fruit appeared old and wrinkled. As a business one nighter, it could get by. If family or leasure was the goal, it would not be acceptable. It almost seemed that it was getting ready to close for the winter.
Not a bad room for the price. I didn’t like the deposit requirements of holding 100 on my credit card for a prepaid reservation. The authorization took almost 5 days to release. The only complaint was a disgusting power strip that looked like it hadn’t been cleaned since 1958. It was really grody.
We left South Florida because of Hurricane Irma. Needing to sleep we stopped at Days Inn Amherst got a room and when we got in the room it was absolutely DISCUSTING. There was a sock under the bed and cobwebs in the corners of the ceiling nothing was clean (NOTHING) the baseboards were filthy fingerprints on the headboards and the light mounts. To top it off the security lock was broke. I slept in my close and used my own pillow. I WILL NEVER EVER STAY AT ANY DAYS INN AGAIN.
This was a clean, comfortable place for our needs and the price was right! All personnel we saw were professional and personable.
After a long and tiring day we checked in around 1am with a clerk that spoke faster than my tired brain could grasp and had an attitude when I asked him to repeat himself. When we got to the back door of the main building the security lock was broken. The hallway to our room reeked of smoke, thankfully the room did not. The cover and sheet on the bed were washed but had permanent stains in them. We didn't plan to use the pool thank goodness because it was visible from our room and bright green. I called for the wifi code the next evening because I lost the teeny piece of paper it was on and got the attitude that I was bothering them again. All in all it seems a family is running this and they are reluctant to put money into repairs and replacement linen. Coupled with a bad attitude from the evening desk and we won't be staying at a Days Inn anytime soon.
I ran out of driving hours and had to stop for the night. The room was comfy and so were the beds. The only problem we encountered was some of the other guests. They were very rowdy and sitting in front of their rooms smoking and drinking. In the morning the parking lot was littered with beer cans and wine bottles. Plus the night clerk would not enter our Wyndham rewards number.# 155125608E. This is something that we encountered several times at your properties.
Overall the hotel was clean, comfortable and convenient for my needs. Although the building and rooms are old and in need of upgrading everything worked fine. The shower was great and my room had the best air conditioner of any hotel I've ever stayed in. I like it cold and it was that.
The room was dirty and moldy smelling. The door lock didn't work well or offer security. The pool was filthy and could see the feet marks from past swimmers at the bottom of the pool.
Don't go there. Facility is dirty and poorly maintained varied rooms are dirty, carpets worn, WiFi could not connect
Very dirty, ceilings were water damaged, room smelled like smoke, many better hotels for less money in the area.
