We are gone away for 2 nights for a girls weekend with a Groupon voucher. We got upgraded to the apartment at the top so the view were amazing. We went to the Spa on Saturday which was wonderful. Dinner we had in the Restaurant, Food was delicious and staff were very attentive and help from all area. Highly recommend.
Loved our 2 day break here....our room was spacious and the views over the bushland were amazing. Restaurant food and services were first class. We also indulged in services from Stephanie's spa and treatment...quite expensive but services professional and of very high standard....some things are worth paying for!
First time at this location, great quiet spot and close to Brisbane and northern suburbs (family function). My wife and I enjoyed the views and the wildlife. Staff very friendly and quality of accommodation and services was very good.
We had a couples weekend at Clear Mountain Lodge with a deal through Accor that included the buffet breakfast. I wanted to give this place five stars just for the view and location plus the lovely staff. However there were a few things that missed the mark. As we were about to enter our room we were surprised by a dog wandering around by itself. It looked like a Staffy and it gave us a fright. Not sure where it had come from as I am sure no pets is the rule in rooms. Possibly an issue if it had come across children. The bed was dreadful. There was a feather mattress topper on the bed to help it along but it didn't do much and the result was a sore back and a restless sleep. Maybe the rooms with the old beds are given to the people booking with a discount? I don't know. The walls are also very thin and we were woken a few times by the guy in the next room snoring!! If anyone is walking past and talking, this is also really loud and amplified. Luckily that only happened a few times, even though on was well past 12.00am. Other than that, it was a lovely stay. The rooms are basic hotel rooms but adequate and the bathrooms clean and modern. The shower pressure was very light but I assume this is a water saving technique and not really a huge issue. The lovely balcony overlooking the lake is the best part. The buffet breakfast was adequate for a four star hotel, sadly not many GF options though. Having breakfast on the verandah was just lovely.
Stayed here on a Groupon voucher. It was good value for what we paid. The views were simply to die for, dinner was lovely. A couple of the staff were a little under-par (waited at reception for ages whilst receptionist on phone but didn't acknowledge/ waiter dropped off wine on table without providing glasses or opening it...?!) but others were lovely and helpful.
I had 2 nights at clear mountain lodge recently with my husband. We both were very impressed. Amazing views and the breakfast was good. Staff very friendly. Some great walk around the area. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a nice couples getaway, so close to Brisbane, yet it felt like the middle of the bush.
We couldn't have asked for a more comfortable, relaxing weekend. The views were sensational, and the property itself was quiet but still attentive to our requirements. Food was perfect, staff from hospitality to the house cleaners wonderful, and the bed was perfect for a comfortable sleep. Buffet breakfast had a huge selection and was delicious, in such a beautiful location overlooking the mountains. Well done! Can't wait for our next visit!
My wife and I stayed two nights. Our room was good except for the shower head which is too low for someone as tall as my 1.85 metres. We had dinner two nights and the food was great, with a good menu selection and some nice wines. The only choice for breakfast was a buffet, not my preferred choice. The choices though for breakfast were good with a wide selection of hot and cold dishes. Clear Mountain Lodge is close to the city and yet far enough away to feel that bush setting.
Great peaceful, quiet and relaxing spot. We only stayed 2 nights but it was really enjoyable. There was no loud conversations by either the guest s or the staff. Everyone just seem to embrace the peacefulness. We had a superior room which was very spacious with 2 queen size beds and our own private balcony with views over Lake Sampsonvale and Morton Bay. We were lucky to experience the fog over the lake and the city of Brisbane. The breakfast, lunch and dinner that we had at the restaurant were exceptional especially the salmon in black sesame seeds with noodles. Treat yourself it is worthwhile.
I attended a business training session for three days. The location was really great, the room good but the food underwhelmed in all aspects. By day three, I gave up on having breakfast as I no longer could stomach luke warm to cold, tired food. One of the course members had food poisoning had had to miss the last day of the course. I spent a few hours with Stomach cramps and time sitting on the toilet with the waste paper bucket in my hands - not sure which end the explosion would come from.. not sure if they recycle food or their food hygiene standards are not up to expected standard Location 4 , accomodation 3 food -negative
