Ice machines were out of order & the pool was closed for maintenance.

It was very nice. They only problem that may deter people is the exterior needs some cleaning/updating.

great location, situated close to the university and old town

The service was good. The hotel is old and needs a new carpet in the hallways going to the bedrooms and in the bedrooms.

Great location. Noisy ice machine on our floor. Website indicated USA Today newspapers were complimentary but when we asked they said they did not have a subscription. Breakfast was pretty good. Keurig machines in each room.

The windiws could use a cleaning as we had a beautiful view but it was obscured by the dirty windows

Water pressure uncommonly high. This is good but results in water spraying all over, the shower curtain insufficient to keep the floor from being soaked. Sinks are old and cracked at the drain. Heater/AC unit needs a good cleaning, esp at the air outlet vanes. Fridge works well. Ample plugs for device charging.

Clean room, nice staff, close to where we needed to be. The water in shower/room was not warm. Nothing worse than cold showers.

We only stayed jone night but it was clean and had a beautiful view from the rooms that face the water.

Easy to get to. Great location. Breakfast surprised us...it was good!

The Building could use a good face lift especially on the out side. Pool was not working on the day we arrived. Staff very friendly.

Lovely hotel and experience, friendly staff. Beautiful view and close proximity to a nice river walk and park.

Wonderful hotel, with a staff that was more then happy to help!

The exterior is a little rundown looking, but the interior looks like it was refurbished within the last few years. The room is clean and neat. Overall, a nice place to stay.

We selected The Riverview Inn for our wedding night location. Originally, it was going to be the site for our wedding reception too, but we went with a smaller ceremony at a family home. We were excited that the suite would have our name on it (The Montgomery Suite)! After travelling from Georgia and spending the weekend with family and celebrating, we spent our last night in TN looking for some peace and quiet. We ended up going with a standard king room. When we arrived, my husband was having some discomfort in his chest. The front desk agent helped us locate the nearest ER, even printed out directions. We got back late and the comfy bed, plush carpet and peaceful room was a welcome sight. We slept like babies and the noon checkout let us sleep in just a bit. We were refreshed, but sorry to leave. We're already planning a trip back!

Our trip didn't start well, when I informed the clerk we'd be paying cash and putting a credit card down for incidentals... and he demanded an extra (hefty) CASH deposit as "security." Given that I only HAD exactly that amount remaining on hand for our weekend event, I protested, as I'd never HEARD of such a practice -- and I haven't. What in the world was the credit card for? There's far more security in that card than in my meager cash! The fellow ultimately relented "this time," he said, "but that's our policy." Well, it's a lousy one. The room was old, the air system unpleasantly vacillating between chilling and muggy (we couldn't seem to find a happy medium) and the beds among the least comfortable I've experienced (as a disabled person with serious back problems) in the past decade in a hotel charging similar prices. The shower in the morning left me subject to every flush or faucet movement in every other nearby room, meaning I was scalded twice and frozen half a dozen times before I could complete a simple five-minute shower. The room DID have a small refrigerator, which was a bonus, but at that point, it was rather too little too late. The meager and mostly cold continental breakfast offerings further reduced our enjoyment. We won't be back. This COULD be a very nice hotel, with some simple attention to detail -- and a little common sense. Good luck.

The staff were incredibly polite and helpful. They provided great restaurant suggestions and helped with "comfort" requests during our stay.

Nice stay and would have had a great view but couldn't see out the windows. Dirty and had water between the class.

Very pleasant hotel, attractively decorated. Comfortable room. Good coffee maker - not the chintzy kind! Laundromat a big bonus for us.
