I understand that upgrades and renovations are necessary and a good thing but when old mate is still cutting tiles literally at your front door at 6:30pm fair go! The place is half construction site. The staff and reception were ordinary. Bed was comfortable and the room i stayed in was nice.

A great stop over in the Clare Valley. Convenient to town, bike hire and riesling rail trail. Love the 24 hour check-in no need to rush from Adelaide airport. Good value for the cost.

The motel is well appointed and maintained. Heating in the room and bathroom worked well, which is important in Clare in the colder months. As the property is on the edge of town I was pleasantly surprised by the presence of kangaroos on the extensive grounds when I checked in late in the afternoon.

We stayed only one night. Arrived late and left early, so we cannot say much about the facilities. Check in was done in a machine and was straightforward, as well as returning the keys in the morning on the same machine. Not sure what would happens if we need assistance. Room was spacious. Mattress good enough. Place was looking clean, but we used a damp cloth to clean a little bit of yogurt from the carpet and came out with a lot of dirt. Room was worn out in some areas. We made the reservation the same day so it was expensive. Overall it was a pleasant experience.

This property is in a good location with easy access to Clare township close to wineries. Easy parking with plenty of space between cars. Property externally upgraded and now has charcoal colourbond roof, colonial glazing bars removed from windows that are now double glazed and tinted. Property looks neat, tidy and fresh. The rooms however are in need of renovation. Grouting is missing in bathroom, rails are loose, one power point is cracked, one does not work. Holes in walls to be sealed and rooms need painting. Kettle had damage and unsafe. Bathroom sliding door was of the roller and could not be moved initially. The question is would i recommend this place? If you require cheap accommodation, then this would suit. By the way, they do NOT service rooms on a weekend or public holiday.
