Great, friendly hotel in a perfect location.

Lovely hotel right in the middle of medieval Cuidad Rodrigo. Perfectly located, fantastic, friendly and helpful staff and a great breakfast. Our only negative was that the view from our room was a wall and it was a bit tired.

Great stay & would come back any day.

Stayed mainly to break up our journey from the Portuguese coast to the Mediterranean coast, but we were very pleased we stayed in the old town and at this hotel. They were both excellent. Beautifully appointed hotel, spacious bedroom and bathroom with lots of character. Friendly and helpful staff, lovely breakfast in a beautiful dining room, unfortunately the restaurant was temporarily closed but we were able to find one within walking distance.

Good choice in Ciudad Rodrigo

Nothing fancy, but the rooms are clean and spacious. The bathroom was rather old but clean and had everything we needed. I disliked the shower curtain as the water gets to the floor when you shower. Maybe there's a better solution to that. The location is amazing, right in the old part of the city, and supermarkets are within walking distance (outside the city walls). There are also several restaurants nearby.

Lovely old building in the centre of town, full of charm and character. We were on a B&B basis, the breakfast was varied and good quality. The hotel is easy to get to and there's plenty of parking available locally, both paid and free. Only one little criticism would be the air conditioning in our room, very weak.

Beautiful historic building right in the heart of the old town. The attentive and knowledgeable staff was ready to help me with all the information I needed - their suggestions were spot on. The room, although a little outdated, had all the modern needs to make them functional. Bathroom pristine clean. I look forward to be back.

Hotel in old palace

On arrival walked on the walls round the whole of the town in 40 minutes. The Cathedral still shows the cannon ball damage from Wellington assault in 1812, during the peninsular war. Fascinating for those interested in history.

Center of old town, helpful staff. Unable to offer parking to our mid sized rental car, but we made do parking outside the old town walls on the street. Safe enough, but I always worry about theft and damage on the street. Very comfortable bed and very quaint interior.
