it was so lovely to be back in Ciudad Real. I'm so glad I chose to stay here. Walking distance to all the shops, dining, and heart of the town. I recommend adding breakfast to your reservation. Good value and something for everyone.
A little difficult to find but in an excellent position for seeing the Town. Lovely friendly Town. Excellent hotel with a rally driver manoeuvrability required for the downstairs Parking ! good breakfast friendly helpful Staff. nice rooms quite large comfortable beds
We choose this hotel due to its location, and it was a good choice. Access to the hotel is via a pedestrian area, and as there was work going on on the corner where we turned unto this area, locals pointed to the signs, no cars access for access, the lift to the car park is very tight. Rooms were a good size. We had breakfast one day (No breakfast tea) ok'ish but better go out and find something. We eat one night at Carmen Carmen Resto-Bar see our review.
This is no longer a 4* hotel. Carpets in rooms worn and very badly stained. I was on 4th floor and hallway carpets torn , worn and dry dirty. Mattresses sunk in centre and clean but worn bedding. Towels the same. Clean but very thin and no longer white. Breakfast was poor with little choice and poor quality. Powdered egg used for scrambled egg. Parking was well priced at €8 a day in centre. Underground car park used by car lift. Very good. Staff helpful and very nice. Excellent location for one night in centre. Lots of building work going on next door.
The Location of this hotel is very good for for a visit and tour to Ciudad Real, however, that is all I can say, it has limited Hotel parking, although a very secure public car park is close by, the Hotel has NO facilities, which is a little Bizarre, NOT even a coffe/Tea vending machine in the foyer, there are cafes and Restaurants close by, which is OK in the evening, but they are not open until 10am, which is not good. The Decor is more than a Little tired. I will NOT be going back there.
Hotel uncomfortably hot, I requested a repair to my room air conditioning and was told management policy to turn cold off in winter.I requested again and reception said they would sort it. They did nothing. The hotel was not dirty but not clean. Underground garage not good for big cars. Against that the hotel is very conveniently located in city centre BUT not easily accessed.
My and and I stayed at at The Hotel Silkin Alfonso X for 1 overnight stop enroute to Madrid. Basically astounded by the cost of the room (€36) the quality of the facility and its location. As he hotel is very centrally located we opted to use the hotels underground carpark at €8 per night. Beware however as the carpark is accessed by vehicle lift and only really suitable for a small saloon car. When booking in we were treated respectfully and given a city map for us to get around. The hotel is located a short distance into a pedestrianised area so be careful when accessing by car. Be sure to advise the hotel of your car registration no to allow you to access the hotel car park and so the hotel can notify the local authority that you will be driving in the area. Immediately outside the hotel you are in the main shopping and restaurant area. We visited a great tapas bar in the main square only 100 Mars from the hotel. Had 10 drinks and 4 tapas for only €23.50, great value and quality. Would really recommend staying here if you want to explore the location. The room didn't have tea/coffee making facilities but it was nice to find complementary shower gell, moisturiser, soap, toothbrush and paste, even a shoeshine. A Great Experience
The hotel is actually situated in the town centre. Access, if you have a vehicle, is via a "pedestrian only" right of way. You must remember to give your vehicle registration number to the hotel reception when checking in to avoid vehicle penalty charges from the local authority. The location is excellent as it is situated on a main shopping area, just a few minutes from the main Plaza Mayor. Rooms are nicely decorated and very clean. Mini bar, wifi and air-conditioning in rooms too. Plenty of restaurants, tapa bars etc located in the main Plaza and around the town. Hotel staff were nice on our trip. Cannot comment on the food in hotel as we ate out. The only problem we had was that car parking was requested at time of booking and when we arrived we were informed that the car park was full. A car park is nearby and directions are given by the hotel staff.
The staff were very accommodating and waited up for us after a late arrival. However, the parking facility required a lot of manoeuvring. Thankfully our car was small! Upon entering the room, it was immediately evident that the room was damp and not aired.
Quiet, comfortable room, excellent bed, bathroom, etc. Breakfast also good, and front desk staff welcoming and professional. Great location for seeing what there us to see of CR. Parking interesting, what with the lift, a little tight on entry, but not too difficult. I'd go back. (That's a solid recommendation).
