close to the buzzing market area - but far enough to drown the noise and the buzzing form the market daily activities... one of the best hotel in the city when it comes to "Luxury" for the area, this is the place to stay. quiet rooms, beautiful social areas, and a Casino that seems to me popular ( I didn't check it out though). if you are looking for a nice room while in this busy city, I think this is the best for business and a great value for your money.
It's a greater option to stay in Ciudad del Este. Great location, good food, nice swimming pool! Workers are very kindly! Roons are spacious! Near the downtown! It has a nice Cassino! Safe place to stay in CDE!
Spent two nights in the Hotel during a business trip in Ciudad del Este and it was a great surprise! Rooms were nice, all necessary amenities and more, great staff and very attentive and friendly service. Very good breakfast and restaurant. A very good leisure area too. Walking distance from the Casino. Recommended.
Arrived around 10am and check-in was 2pm but they would try to be ready before. Got my room 2.30pm - not the roomtype I booked. Complained.... they told me that the room type i book would be ready 4.30pm..... I lost my patience and moved in the room they had ready. NO compensation at all....
I found it very charming, the view on the river and the bridge of friendship is Amazing. Employees Are very friendly and polite. The Room was spacious and nice, Wi-Fi signal was poor. The casino is Great but it stinks of smoke as everybody is allowed to smoke there.
Attached with the Casino, this is one of the best in the city. Rooms were nice, wife service was good in all parts of the hotel. Casino with the Restaurant offered great food. Casino is and added attraction and was very active on friday night.
It s funny to be there. 4/5 class hotel, clean, new, safe. The Cassino is reseonably big, and yet really funny and authentic, as many locals party there, with their beats and karaokes. Paraguayans are so nice and committed! For Brazilians, it so great for shopping, as they can store stuff in the hotel room, have shower, pool, whatever, and then leave to their irrational customs in a alternative hours .
A very old hotel full renovated, excellent rooms, nice view over the river from most of the rooms. Good options to eat, a nice bar in the lobby, a full casino. The have one meeting room for corporate events. The Spa is bellow the average. Nice swim pool.
Stayed there for 2 nights over the long holiday weekend ending 3/May/2015 and our experience was wonderful. We arrived well before check-in time, hoping to drop off luggage before heading out to Iguazu Falls across the border in Brazil. The staff was marvelously efficient and friendly. The room was ready and they checked us in right away, even though we had arrived so early. The room was in the "new wing", although from the hallways this wing didn't appear any different from the older wing. The room itself was quite spacious, with two queen beds, immaculate, and well-appointed. The bathroom was ultra modern, everything worked (and that includes instant hot water and an invigorating showerhead). The toiletries were generous and quite nice....the mini bar was well-stocked. The view lovely. We found strong wi-fi signal in the room and throughout the hotel. The hotel was quite full that weekend, but we encountered none of the issues other reviewers have commented on (no unruly guests, loud noises, long waits for check-in or check-out, etc). There is a casino on site but it is in a separate, though attached building. So if gaming is not your thing, it's not in-your-face like Las Vegas. I've had to travel to Ciudad del Este on several occasions and, in my opinion, there is no better place to stay. That said...travelers must manage expectations about the city itself. Ciudad del Este is a chaotic border town. Traffic is a nightmare, drivers view pedestrians as fair game, downtown is barely bearable, and outlying areas are dicey. But that is the town...not the hotel. The Acaray is basically an oasis amid the chaos.
I spent a night there with my wife and it was okay. The rooms are clean and very comfortable, the prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly and willing to help. The problem we had was the noise, due to a party organized somewhere outside. I do not know if it is frequently the case and we did not ask either, but it went on till 2 or 3 am. One deception also concerning the restaurant of the hotel for dinner: They have changed the menu recently but the food is still lacking this touch of distinction that would make it match the level of the hotel.
