We had planned to drop off our bags at the hotel and go for a walk before 11am. However, the weather wasn’t kind, so we waited in the lobby. We didn’t expect to check in so early, but the hotel kindly offered us a room. While we were waiting, they provided us with complimentary coffee and tea. It was such a kind gesture and excellent service. Thank you very much—we really enjoyed our stay at The George Hotel.

The George was a wonderful property located in Christchurch, with phenomenal customer service and spacious rooms. Free parking and within walkable distance of downtown locations and restaurants. Would highly recommend staying here purely due to the customer service!

ALL the staff were exceptional, first class. The food from the restaurant should be improved. Not impressed at all. The light controls are a bit tricky and there are no USB outlets in the room. Very comfortable bed.
