Thoroughly enjoyed stay here. Budget but very comfortable. Recommended and we will go back. Quick walk to city centre and heaps of restaurants very close by. Cleaning staff very helpful. For a 1 bedroom apartment recommend room 9
We had an upstairs unit and what immediately struck me on entering was its somewhat unique design. The unit had two decks, one facing south towards Bealey Avenue and the other facing north over surrounding houses. All this natural light made the unit very bright and inviting. Our room also had a kitchenette (hotplates, microwave and cooking utensils) and a shower big enough for two (although the bathroom steamed up quite badly because of lack of an extractor fan). There was also a 2 person settee, decent TV, iron and ironing board, safe and decent fan heating. The bed was on the firm side and could have done with another couple of pillows. I would stay here again.
It was a short walk from Hagley Park which was good for morning strolls to start the day. A bit out of the centre of town itself, but buses weren't too bad. Would probably suggest it might be better to stay here with a car though - there were plenty of spaces. As for the room, was quite bright with the lights from the street / cars, but a very nice clean room apart from that with a good TV / Sky TV (was able to watch the AFL live from Australia, was pretty happy about that!).
9 of us stayed had a great 4 bedroom unit plenty of room well priced and great location. Handy to everything takeaways just around corner if you need a midnight snack.unit was clean and had everything you need just like home
Okay, so I arrived early and reception were fantastic about allowing my friends and I in earlier than check in. We'd arrived on an early flight from the North island. This was a relief! The rest of our stay was pleasant with wonderful service, the staff so friendly and accommodating. I would definitely stay again. Accommodation had heating that kept us toasty warm and a lovely spa! I'd definitely stay again. Recommend.
I was originally expecting to stay 3 nights only on my business trip but extended my stay another 3. So it wasn't a bad motel. It has everything I expected it to have (good and bad). The accommodation was nice and big enough to be comfortable. A separate bedroom, lounge and bathroom arrangement with a small patio overlooking Bealey Ave. The shower mixer wasn't great, the shower door caught on a raised beading on the step and beadings were dropping off on the inside and outside of the shower where they were meant to seal between the glass and the wall. Annoying toilet seat did not want to stay up once it was down or drop down when it was up (it's not that it was one of those soft up/down setups either). Rooms are only serviced every 3 days but towels are swapped daily. Laundry has enough washers and dryers although the washing machines/ detergent combos did not properly clean my clothes even after 2 washes. I enjoyed staying there and will stay there again.
We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at our accommodation. Received excellent service and the room was very cosy and comfortable. Clean sheets, towels and the room was very well presented with pretty drapes. Toilets and kitchenette was clean. Had all the required cutlery and crockery. There was even al lovely spa that we enjoyed though the swimming pool was not very clean. Ample parking space and the motel is very centrally located. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.
We had a stay for one night there. The motel room was spacious and a quite good bed, but nothing in particular. There's a kitchenette, so you can cook your own meals if you'd like to. However, it's still 15 minutes walking till the city centre, and as there's not much to see in Christchurch in my opinion, maybe it's better to look for something really in the centre of Christchurch. But overall, I would say: nice value for money!
We stayed here for a night. The staff was courteous enough to allow us early check-in. The room was spacious with 2 bedrooms, a hall with kitchen. As mentioned in other review, there are beds everywhere and it is spacious. Everything worked fine and nothing to complain about.
Further down you ask "How expensive is this hotel? I was charged more than the room is worth. "Except that we had paid prior to getting to Christchurch I would have walked out and gone to another motel. My Wife & I arrived and were in the process of checking-in when a young woman entered and he left us in mid sentence to attend to her. When we finally had his attention, he could not or would not provide any info regarding dine in or local restaurants. We asked about a "Guest Laundry" or if there was a laundrette close by and he looked at us as if we were speaking double dutch to him.
