Stayed here for 7nights, it was chosen because it was near to the cricket ground, it was about a 30 minute walk. The room was spacious, with limited cooking facilities, a 2 ring hob and a microwave. There was also a fridge, washing up liquid was provided as was a dishcloth and tea towel. The bins were emptied daily. The bathroom was massive, with a separate shower and a separate toilet, the bath was a spa bath. There was also a small wardrobe which also housed the water tank, so that meant there wasn't enough room for your clothes. An iron, ironing board were also provided. The shower was dated but did the job, body wash was provided,as was a hairdryer. We were in room 22 which was on the ground floor next to the swimming pool and hot tub. The problem with that was you had large windows looking at the pool and although you had curtains you still felt it lacked privacy. Also due to the lack of thought by others we were woken up at 7-30 one morning by children in the hot tub ( even though there was a notice saying what time you could use it and you had to tell reception) . It is in an areal location to walk onto the centre, about 25 minutes. We used the laundry, it was 3 dollars to use the washing machine and the same to use the dryer, we found this to be the same price at other places. You got a code on a piece of paper for the wi fi, which sometimes worked. The staff were friendly and helpful.

If you want to be told to F*%K OFF by the motelier when you present them with a legitimate complaint about the unit and lack of what you paid for then this maybe the motel for you. My wife and I had the unfortunate experience of spending a night at this motel. Apart from the unit being far from clean, when we went to turn on the heaters supplied due to the cold weather I can only assume it blew the fuses thereby leading to a cold night in a cold unit with no heating or electric blanket due to no power to the outlets. Their only help offered was an extension lead so the TV could be plug into the jug outlet which was the only one still working Never felt like a shower either due to the mould in and around the shower cubicle. When we inquired about the possibility of a discount for lack of services the next morning, we were told by the female in charge to "F*%K OFF and given the 'finger'. Nothing would convince me to stay here ever again.

We had 2 two-bedroom units for 2 nights. Rooms 18 and 19 upstairs. I stayed in room 18 and would recommend this room. It’s not perfect but it was a step up from room 19. We had 3 single adults in each room and the rooms were perfect for our needs. Bedding - queen and single in room 1, queen in room 2 and single in lounge. Identical bedding set up in both rooms. Linen was clean and good quality. Beds were very comfy. Bedrooms good size A small kitchen with hobb (full stove in room 19) small fridge, microwave and all the usual necessities for a short stay. All worked well We had a very nice modern bathroom with a great shower. Nice towels. Room 19s bathroom not so great. Not as big and much older shower set up, including a taped up shower mixer! However I hear it performed ok Noise not too bad for being on a very busy road. We all slept well Our friends used the spa pool. Apparently a bit slimy on the bottom. Pool looked nice and clean and as per pics. But it wasn’t hot enough to test it out! We struck it lucky with this place. More than happy with our rooms. A good price too. It’s not easy to find accommodation for 6 singles in Christchurch, so we were grateful for this motel. Will no doubt be back

A mixed review. The room itself was spacious; a double bed in a separate room from the single bed in the main living area. The kitchen bit worked well (although we only made tea and toast), but the shower was temperamental; I had to twist the control back and forwards for a while to get a reasonable temperature. The washing machines in the laundry weren't very good, and the driers were expensive. The wi-fi was up and down like a yo-yo; one day, when I had to send an urgent email I had to go and sit in the reception area and use theirs!

Not a great place to stay. WiFi was severely limited even for browsing and email with NO streaming. For area questions we were told to use Google. Rooms felt rather worn. Never say the pool so no comments on it.

We stayed for 2 nights in a ground floor room. Unlike other recent reviews we found the room clean and tidy and no visible damage to light fittings etc. Equipped with a safe and quite spacious. We had a small rear patio with table and 2 chairs, Sky TV, large comfortable bed, etc. There is no air conditioning but that did not cause us any problems. Externally and internally yes its a little tired from use, but apart from that it was well equipped with the normal kitchen utensils, serviced with clean towels, iron and ironing board, laundry facilities at $3 a wash so no complaints on that front. The receptionist was very helpful with a couple of minor issues which she dealt with promptly. For the price in a central location we have no complaints about this motel. But it does need a refurb to bring it up to the standard of its competitors along Bealy Road as it is quite dated.

Dark rooms, poorly maintained , towels falling apart, windows that did not close . We stayed at many motels in our 3 weeks in New Zealand and this was by far the worst for this piece bracket . Nothing to recommend here.

Simply don't stay here. Tired and run down rooms. Old uncomfortable beds. Missing light fittings. No towel rails in the bathroom. Loose light switches with exposed wiring. No daily servicing of the rooms. The kitchen encouraged us to 'eat out' both nights.

Checked in on the 23/11/17 at 1400, found we had no hot water. Talked to reception desk staff ( poor understanding of the English language), said they would get it seen too In the morning still cold and when contacted said it had been fixed. The night away was like a special night for us and it's hard to clean up with cold water . Did give us $10 as compensation, but this does not make up for trying to shower in cold water ( could have gone on an Outward Bound course for cold showers ), not impressed

We recently stayed on the four bedroom apartment and it was huge! It was $230 for the night! Vivien on the desk was lovely and we had a second night booked in a two bedroom apartment $130! she let us move our stuff over while the ladies were cleaning which was really helpful! The facilities are tired but that’s reflected in the price! Very close to the centre of town! Great for families! I’d definitely stay here again. If you have a big group and money is a little tight pick this place!
