Dark rooms, poorly maintained , towels falling apart, windows that did not close . We stayed at many motels in our 3 weeks in New Zealand and this was by far the worst for this piece bracket . Nothing to recommend here.

Simply don't stay here. Tired and run down rooms. Old uncomfortable beds. Missing light fittings. No towel rails in the bathroom. Loose light switches with exposed wiring. No daily servicing of the rooms. The kitchen encouraged us to 'eat out' both nights.

Checked in on the 23/11/17 at 1400, found we had no hot water. Talked to reception desk staff ( poor understanding of the English language), said they would get it seen too In the morning still cold and when contacted said it had been fixed. The night away was like a special night for us and it's hard to clean up with cold water . Did give us $10 as compensation, but this does not make up for trying to shower in cold water ( could have gone on an Outward Bound course for cold showers ), not impressed

We recently stayed on the four bedroom apartment and it was huge! It was $230 for the night! Vivien on the desk was lovely and we had a second night booked in a two bedroom apartment $130! she let us move our stuff over while the ladies were cleaning which was really helpful! The facilities are tired but that’s reflected in the price! Very close to the centre of town! Great for families! I’d definitely stay here again. If you have a big group and money is a little tight pick this place!

Nice motel, very clean and tidy. Easy parking and good location to walk into Christchurch (about 20-25 mins) or to the botanic gardens (10-15 mins). They provide a small bottle of milk, tea bags/coffee, plus shower shampoo/gel. Kitchen had fridge with small freezer compartment, 2 hobs, microwave, toaster, kettle. The bathroom could do with a refurb, but was fine. I would stay again.

We made a booking for labour weekend and were expecting accomodation to be through the roof price wise but we stumbled across this motel online and it was only $85 a night for 2 adults and 2 children in a one bedroom unit. Superb if you are on a tight budget like we were. We were very impressed with the whole transaction initially, the phone service was excellent and friendly and our booking was made without any hassle. The unit had everything we needed from free onsight parking and being very close by to the city centre, the full kitchen and seperate bedroom so hubby and I didn't have to bunk down in a studio once the kids were asleep. The unit was roomy, had reasonably comfy beds and had some modifications done to it with newish tv and furniture and sky for those down times on our weekend away. At face value we would return again and over all were happy with our stay and the shower was super awesome water pressure. The motel were really accomodating in providing extra towels when we asked to take to the beach. Why I haven't gone straight to 4-5 star though? In our initial booking we specifically asked for a room back from the road, we were aware that there would be some road noise as this motel is on a main road/intersection (but being in a room back from the road in a big complex like that where you generally experience less of it was a requirement for us as we have a son with sensory difficulties and car noise and loud sudden noises can be bothersome for him) so it was really quite bothersome when after making this request that we got there and found that our room was room number 1 RIGHT by the roadside, with no option to move rooms as they were already occupied/customers had already checked in. The owner handled this extremely well to her credit and offered us a discounted rate of $10 a night and was extremely apologetic for the oversight. The mold. Please do something about the mold in the unit. We all come home sick as there was thick black mold on all the curtains and net curtains and in the windowframes & bathroom. The level of cleanliness 3/5 especially in the bathroom around the shower. The curtains were white/thin and had no black out so the room was lit up like a christmas tree 24/7 with the no vacancy sign and car lights shining in. The room isn't fully serviced daily, this wasn't an issue for us other than even though we booked for 4 people it was only being serviced daily for 3 people (3 new towels) We would definitely book to stay again but would arrange confirmation that it wasn't room #1 :)

Thoroughly enjoyed stay here. Budget but very comfortable. Recommended and we will go back. Quick walk to city centre and heaps of restaurants very close by. Cleaning staff very helpful. For a 1 bedroom apartment recommend room 9

We had an upstairs unit and what immediately struck me on entering was its somewhat unique design. The unit had two decks, one facing south towards Bealey Avenue and the other facing north over surrounding houses. All this natural light made the unit very bright and inviting. Our room also had a kitchenette (hotplates, microwave and cooking utensils) and a shower big enough for two (although the bathroom steamed up quite badly because of lack of an extractor fan). There was also a 2 person settee, decent TV, iron and ironing board, safe and decent fan heating. The bed was on the firm side and could have done with another couple of pillows. I would stay here again.

It was a short walk from Hagley Park which was good for morning strolls to start the day. A bit out of the centre of town itself, but buses weren't too bad. Would probably suggest it might be better to stay here with a car though - there were plenty of spaces. As for the room, was quite bright with the lights from the street / cars, but a very nice clean room apart from that with a good TV / Sky TV (was able to watch the AFL live from Australia, was pretty happy about that!).

9 of us stayed had a great 4 bedroom unit plenty of room well priced and great location. Handy to everything takeaways just around corner if you need a midnight snack.unit was clean and had everything you need just like home
