We stayed here for one night in a 2 bedroom family unit. The unit was very spacious, clean and with comfortable beds. There was a bedroom and bathroom downstairs sleeping three and then a mezzanine bedroom and ensuite upstairs sleeping three. It was a little dated but nothing wrong with that, as long as you know to expect it and the location was really good, quite a short drive into the centre of Christchurch and easy to get around. There are plenty of options within walking distgance for eating and many more within a short drive. The only problem was that we were on the road front and the traffic was constant on a Saturday night - it never stopped. Maybe ask for a room away from the road if you are light sleepers.

Pros: • Helpful staff • Plenty of room and a good kitchen space • Central location near Hadley Park • Quiet and low light levels for sleeping (even had a blackout blind for the kitchen window) Cons: • Parking could be a bit tight in places, but you could park in any spot • Mattress was too firm (I woke up sore, but my wife was fine) • Water pressure in shower was weak, but kitchen tap spurted out • The fridge was turned off when we arrived. The manager explained it was because the room had not been occupied for a while; however, someone should have attended to it before we checked in. If we hadn’t noticed it ourselves, our groceries could have spoiled

There was a lot to change in this motel! Entering the room, it was dark even if you turn all the lights on. The beds were not the best, very uncomfortable. The bathroom MUST be upgraded! They don’t use normal toilet paper, they use these tiny sheets that you find in public toilets. Try use all in one shampoo, condition and shower gel dispenser! Who uses that in our days?? So cheap! The shower is small and needs upgrade! No fan in the bathroom. Kitchen facilities are very low! The place looks good from the outside and it’s pretty close to everything which was pretty good! All I can advice is that little things matter and make a good impression to the guests and I didn’t see that in this motel.

Not a bad motel just a bit dated . Rooms are clean and staff are friendly and helpful . We found it nice and central and a short walk to the city centre . Take a cake of soap if your not used to using liquid soap . We were in a room at the back of the property and found it very quiet .

Booked for 2 nights through Booking.com. Girl on reception was friendly and helpful, I had emailed ahead to ask for earlier check in and this was accommodated. The larger units near reception looked homely and spacious, sadly we were in the 'block' out the back. Small room with very little extra space. One of the chairs was so unstable our daughter couldn't even sit in it with it wobbling precariously. Mattresses very soft, the single one moved around through the night and was hanging off the divan by morning. The decor was tired and needed a good clean/upgrade. Bathroom was basic, doors to cupboard had damp damage and the paint was peeling. By morning the windows were dripping with condensation due to lack of ventilation, the red obscure film on the door glass was ripped and half missing. There was also a strange smell..... possibly damp? Compared to other places we have booked on this trip, it certainly wasn't the cheapest and so far sadly not the best.

Apartment with two double bed and two single bed and two toilet and one kitchen. The facilities was quite complete. The room very clean just nice for our six family member to stay. Provided unlimited wifi but the speed is a bit slow. Enjoy at here.. would recommend to friend

Stayed there for 3 days. Ok service from staff. Close to keo Thai restaurant and also a bit close to city. Went out for a walk in the evening. Decent amount of space in the rooms. Overall it's a good place to stay.

We were very impressed with our stay at Camelot...it comfortably fit our family and luggage without feeling cramped. It felt like staying in a proper house with the large kitchen, large dining table, living room, specious bathroom, separate bedroom...and second level floor with another sleeping area. We enjoyed being able to cook a family meal as we were slightly over eating out. A little outdated but it was very clean and comfortable. The Casino is just up the road and took advantage of the Casino's free shuttle bus to pick us up...when we saw how close it was and we decided to walk back to Camelot. Reception has a DVD library so we enjoyed selecting a few movies and having a quiet night in. Most enjoyable stay...looking forward to returning and staying again when in Christchurch.

We had stayed here over 30 years ago briefly and booked it based on those memories. Unfortunately it doesn't appear to be have been updated since then. The rooms were dark, the furniture dated and in need of a refresh. It didn't help that they had lost my booking and the place was booked out. Luckily I had all the paperwork and they eventually put us in a room they had down for someone else. Don't know how they sorted them out though. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom had been redone. I like good pressure when having a shower but there was only a very thin spray from the nozzle. This is probably just a water saving measure rather than a fault in the pressure. The motel is located close to plenty of quality restaurants and close to the city so there is plenty of places to eat or to tour. The pool wasn't very warm but there were a lot of children using it so it was serviceable. They offered free wi-fi with up to 5 Gb but it was intermittent as quote the receptionist 'you can have up to 6 devices per room on the key and with 50 rooms that means 300 people so it can be slow'. At times it was non-existent.

First there was no hot water. Second they don't provide toilet paper - they provide these tiny little tissues that pull put one by one that are smaller than a standard tissue. The shower was also installed wrong so there was sitting water in the shower basin when I checked in. Over all this place was nasty.
