We arrived early but our room was ready. Excellent service from the owner - informative and friendly. We had a spacious, one-bedroom apartment which was very clean and had all the facilities we needed. Unlike most motels we stayed in, this place had a proper cooking hob (not just a microwave) too. Clean and comfortable beds ensured a good nights sleep. The wifi was free and reliable. The hotel is well positioned for a walk into the city centre, there are also some restaurants nearby. Merivale high street is a 15 minute walk down the road where there is a supermarket and more bars and restaurants. Great place; we'd stay again and will recommend to friends.

Not too far from the city centre, this is extremely comfortable spacious accommodation. We were on the 1st floor, in a large bedroom with a spacious bathroom area through to a large separate shower and toilet room, all very clean and tidy. There is also a large kitchenette area with every utensil you could possibly need, all brand new. The owner was extremely personable and nothing was too much trouble. Will stay again!

We arrived early but the room was ready for us. Check in was efficient and friendly. The studio room (on the first floor) was big and clean. One disadvantage is the lack of an elevator for the rooms on the upper floor, but we knew about it at the time of booking. Good location with the heart of the city within walkable distance. Overall I can clearly recommend this motel.

Lee and the management team provided a great experience — with standout customer service by Lee! She not only impeccably managed the lodge, but also performed Concierge services that you would find at the most upscale hotels. We called ahead from Australia on Christmas Day prior to arriving later that evening, and she already had us booked on a requested tour in Akaroa. We were amazed...and so impressed. She also was so responsive throughout our stay. The rooms were a great value and exceptionally clean. They also included an in-room efficiency and refrigerator to create a homey environment for preparing meals, etc. I would strongly recommend Amross Court Motor Lodge.

A wonderful place to stay after 2 weeks touring the South Island. Our one bedroom suite had heaps of space, with a single bed in the large lounge area as well, was well appointed and Lee was so helpful and kind throughout our stay. Everything was clean and modern and well maintained. Well situated at the top edge of the central square block that is Christchurch, we walked in easily and safely. Also well situated for the airport. Would definitely use again should we find ourselves in Christchurch!

We are traveling the South Island by car and this is our first stop at Christchurch. This is a decent motel located at a convenient location with a few restaurants nearby. The room is spacious and neat with utensils and a nice kitchen for those who cook. This motel is a good choice at a reasonable price for a clean and neat place to stay a night. There are two other motels right next to this one and they also look decent.

We stayed for one night and it was easy to organise a late check in. Parking was great, just downstairs or outside your room. The wifi was some of the best we had in NZ. The room itself was very clean and comfortable. Recommend!

We arrived 3 hours before checkin extremely tired. Lee organised our room for us early and gave us an upgrade to boot!. She really went out of her way to help two weary travellers. Our room was extremely clean with fantastic kitchenette and very comfortable bed. Would return and highly recommended.

Stayed with family of 4 for 2 nights. Bedrooms were clean, comfortable, cost, quiet and clean and with heater. Living room have sufficient space to put our 4 large luggage. Comes with kitchenette too.

This was our first stay in an NZ motel having stayed at various hotels and AirBnBs. We were very impressed and it was nothing like a USA motel. Our room on the ground floor was huge with separate king size bedroom and sitting room/ diner. The kitchen was well equipped. Everything was spotlessly clean. The most memorable part of our stay was meeting Lee - the wonderful smiling lady who manages the motel and meets and greets you on arrival / departure. What a wonderful warm lady! Recommended.
