Two single bed conbine with one king bed is not good choice for me. 1. Too wild bed size 2.. The edge of single bed will be locate in center and it will cause uncomfortable for sleep. I think one king bed or one single bed will be better.
Unlike other hotels located at the Jiefangbei CBD, the location of Hyatt Regency Chongqing is more quiet. Dining out or shopping is just a few minutes walk to the Paradise Walk Beicheng Tianjie Street. Hyatt, you will never felling of disappointed starting from booking to check out.
We spent two nights at this hotel. Lovely room with balcony swing seat. Lovely landscaping all around. All facilities quite modern. Hotel is dog friendly which means they have grass exercise areas, an agility area and even a designated doggy swimming pool! Breakfast was fantastic as was the Chinese restaurant. A games room with table football, darts, computer games, pool, table tennis and karaoke rooms were great fun. Good hotel for families as well as couples or anyone wanting to get away from the city for a short break. Only an hour by car from central Shanghai. Bicycles, tandems and even a go kart could be hired but a bit expensive. If you are planning to visit the wetland bird reserve nearby which is well worth a visit (see separate review), then it's much cheaper to hire bikes there. Difficult to fault this hotel. All staff very friendly and very happy to help.
The Location With app. 60 to 120 minutes away from the airport by car (depending on traffic; my average travel time is app. 90 minutes by car) the hotel is not for an overnight stay if you are just there and want to be close to the airport. However if you are not dependent on that then it is definitely a recommendation. The hotel is located in a busy shopping area with several huge shopping malls just 5 min away by walking The Hotel The hotel itself is not the newest luxury hotel in Chongqing anymore so on some small layout details you can already see this and the competition is strong and growing. However the rooms are very well maintained and absolutely clean. There is no noise from the outside and the building quality is very good. The executive lounge on the 27th floor offers a great happy hour with a very decent food selection (they also have warm dishes but you need to ask for them). The cheese selection is for China a highlight and also plenty of other choices here to fill a hungry stomach. Absolutely disappointing is the bar. The cocktail selection is limited, the environment is anything else than cozy or much inviting. Also the knowledge level of the bar keeper is low / resp. they had already for several times not the ingredients to mix a Pina Colada. Far below standard of service and environment would you would expect for a Hyatt The Rooms The executive rooms are great with a clear recommendation for the suites. They are very spacious and give you a very nice feeling of being "at home" during the trip. The Staff Mixed experience here. Front Desk staff very helpful, efficient and courteous as well as very well organized. Never had a problem here either with Check-In or Check-Out. However rest of the staff not on a "Hyatt - Level" in my opinion. Less organized, not always attentive etc.
Nice hotel with central location easy access to downtown and restaurants. Comfortable rooms and good facilities. Executive club on 27 th floor good views and good service , happy hour and snacks . Main restaurant average Buffett , seems to be less generous over recent times , and dinner buffet ok but relatively cheap . Good stay but could be improved . Staff very professional.
I have to say the quality of HR properties in the U.S. are just no where close to the ones in Asia. This new HR in chonging again exceeded my expectation of a HR property. It's even better than many of the grand Hyatt properties I have stayed in the U..S. The property is located at a very convenient location, surrounded by restaurants, theaters, and shopping malls. All within 10 mins walking distances. The hotel itself is quite new. As a Hyatt globalist, we were upgraded to a suite upon checkin for three nights without using the diamond suite upgrade certificate. Excellent on the execution of the new world of Hyatt benefits. We were also offered to have the breakfast in the main restaurant which had a variety of both local and western choices. The lounge was quite nice as well, located on the 27th floor. It had a good amount of hot dishes during the happy hour , and even offered different daily made in kitchen entires. The staff was very polite and welcoming too. What touched me the most was that I saw a beautiful birthday cake on the table when I head back to my room the evening of my birthday. I didn't request anything but I guess that they noticed that on my profile. The cake was very delicious and it was quite touching , at least for that. I am very appreciated. Overall I would definitely recommend this property to anyone who's visiting the area, especially if you are globalist as well.
Everything about the Hyatt Regency is five star. Fantastic staff, great rooms and an incredible array of goodies for breakfast. The rooms are spotless and roomy with a very comfortable "home" feeling. Great access to nearby shopping and some excellent restaurants. There's a cosy bar in level 6 with a billiard table. Of course it's a bit pricey but worth it for the service and amenities. Very hard to fault such a great hotel.
Excellent hotel, good location and service is outstanding. Main complaint is with the room temperature and control which is centralized need to be improved as I was sweating during the night time. Menu could be enhance to add more dishes more familiar to America people.
Stayed here for business. Very impressive hotel, the rooms are great. Huge beds. Location is far from central Chongqing but the surrounding area is very vibrant. I didn't feel the need to go into downtown. Breakfast is very good and lot's of choice, beware about the buffet though, very expensive, I paid 55euro (should have checked the price before I went in..).
This hotel is not located in the prime areas such as JW or Intercontinental however still offers a great location with many nice malls and walking distance points, including metro, around. The product of this hotel, specifically the rooms are very good and new. Breakfast is generally good. The spread is big and covers all the needs for any international or local traveler. Staff is warm and cares to help whenever possible. Thanks for everyone hospitality including Hotel Manager Michael Tan which is a great host.
