This is a great place to stay near the A39 autoroute. We couldn't find fault with the room, the food or the location. The staff were friendly and the hotel is dog friendly. This is the first time we have stayed here but it won't be the last.
This is a cheap, basic even, hotel. However, the rooms are spotlesly clean, and is ideal for travelers passing though this part of rural France. There's ample parking for each room. Although there is no evening meal available on site there are places locally. Breakfast is a traditional French affair, good coffee and food.
It's hard to write rude reviews especially as it was only one person that ruined the stay. The rooms are very basic. I didn't expect the Savoy but basic is exactly what it is. The shower is a cubicle similar to that you get on an overnight ferry ride. Beds are comfy though. No tea and coffee making facilities but you do get a TV. The hotel is near a great restaurant that let's you take dogs in which helps. Breakfast is served the reception area all cramped in and and made it rather unpleasant. People stuffing their back packs with food doesn't help with the food levels as the misery working on our stay was too busy practising his frown and moaning to fill up frequently. Don't let your children breathe in the morning as they will face the wrath of said moaner who will moan to other guests in French about it. And then moan some more to you. Oh and don't ask for him to be mildly polite. On the upside Ibis have offered me 10% discount thinking this would cover someone being rude to my children. (all my son did was go to use the drinks machine after it had been cleaned. He didn't touch it as we called him back!) My advice, pay a bit more than more and stay somewhere else. There are better options nearby!
It gives you what you expect and what you pay for. Good location, close to the Aldi, Mc Donald's and the highway. Room was modern and clean but a bit small. Perfect to stop and rest for a night when you are on a long road trip. Breakfast is not included and costs around €6 per person.
we stopped at this Ibis overnight on the way to the south of France, room was clean, comfortable and fairly modern looking, reception was polite and friendly and breakfast was continental style with a decent selection of items, Dinner was eaten at a Buffalo Grill just outside the hotel
I stayed there on my way to the South of France (so just one night for me). Location is pretty good supermarket wise, so if you need something to drink or a snack, there is a Aldi just 2min away by foot. Downside is, it's near a well travelled street and was pretty noisy until like 1am (not the hotel's fault, just the surrounding).
A good value functional hotel which is well located on the motorway network in this area. Satisfied our requirements Easy access Clean Functional Good Value Freindly Staff Basic but good breakfast I would definitely use again
I have stayed at this hotel many times now, and my only complaint is the shower doors are of a type that aren't sealed and don't properly stay closed and you end up with a pool of water outside the door. As no shower mat is provided you have to stand on the towel end to avoid wet feet all over the room.
We booked into this hotel on 24th June for a one night stay on our way home from our holiday in Italy. When we checked in we asked for a groungd floor room as we were leaving at 3:00am the next morning and wanted to be sure to catch our train home. We checked in around 3:00 pm. As we were leaving early the next morning and had left italy around 5:00am that morning we went to bed around 8:00pm. At around 11.00pm we were woken by somebody trying to get into our room. We shouted to let them know somebody was in there and they went away. A few minutes later the door burst open and a man and woman walked in. I was terrified. The man turned out to be the night manager and the person who had been trying to get in previously. The manager said " Oh Sorry " and they both went out again. A few minutes later there was a knock on the door and it was the manager again who demended to see our paperwork to make sure we were in the right room. Having checked that he went away again. No apology given. It was very hard for us to get back to sleep and we had a very long tiring drive the next day. I complained to the company Accor hotels the week we got back, I had an acknowledgement of receipt of my email two weeks later I followed it up with another as I had had no reply, I got another email apologising for th delay saying they would get back to me shortly. It is now a full month since the incident and I have still not had a a reply. I would not stay with this group again and would not recommend them to anyone else.
The hotel is located outside the city, near the highway. A Buffalo Grill restaurant is located just in front of it in case that you don´t like the food that is offered there. The rooms are clean and serviceable, but extremely basic. The selling point of this hotel, as with the rest of the Ibis Budget chain, is the extremely affordable prices, in our case 45 euros for a triple room.
