I booked via Expedia and was placed in a tiny room in the attic above the very large and noisy kitchen extraction fans. We were told that these would be switched off at 9pm and not started again until 7am. This was not a truthful promise. At nearly 10-30 pm I went to the bar and asked for the fans to be switched off so we could sleep. They were started up again at 6am to wake us up. Could we move room ? Yes if we paid the hotel extra money Good deal for them but why should we pay for them to solve a problem and make the stay acceptable. No customer service here ! We will not be staying at this hotel ever again.

Lovely location

Was a pleasant stay, bedrooms a little tired. Pillows very lumpy and could do with updating. Restaurant in evening was good, staff friendly but breakfast was very busy and staff found it hard to keep up with demand

Weeks stay three way house hotel, chipping campden

Lovely comfortable hotel, most staff very friendly and helpful. Food was lovely, breakfast was the best, only thing was it said breakfast starts at 7am, but if you wanted cooked breakfast, then that didn’t come out until 7.15/7.20. Only problem I had which was Not the hotels fault, is that hotels.com says the room is air conditioned, which it was not, the hotel says it has repeatedly told hotels.com to change this on their website. The hotel does have a few a/c rooms, but not all, so check with the hotel or request a room with a/c. Apart from that nice little stay for a week for work.

Bed was like cardboard, flat pillows and the duvet and linen was very scratchy, certainly very old. Granted we did book the small room but we at least expected a decent bed for the price we were paying (£130/night) but the quality of bed was worse than hostels!

Check in tried to charge us again for the room. Evening waiting staff managed to get every part of the dining order wrong which is unreal tbh.

Dismal

We were given a room on the first floor. The room was dated and in need of redecoration. There was audibly loud music until nearly midnight, and then music from the restaurant at 7am, so we didn't even get 8 hours of peace and quiet when we wanted to sleep. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. The only good thing about this hotel was the friendly staff.

Booked twin. Room was a double bed. But they did find a twin room. Would I stay again I don’t think so. They were busy and they were helpful. Room was a really good size. They just seemed under the pump

Mickleton has a very place in my heart as its where my grandmother was born and raised and where she met my grandad. They are both laid to rest together in the cemetery up the road. This was my 2nd visit here and i came alone. But i loved staying at this hotel, i felt very welcome and safe being there. I felt really comfortable and all the staff were very attentive. I would highly recommend your hotel and will definetly be staying here again on my next visit which i hope wont be very long. Thank you.

Room 9 needs a re-furb especially including some new carpet. Gives a poor, off-putting first impression. The food offer is however excellent and a clever idea especially bearing in mind one has to travel several miles to find an alternative food choice. Reception and bar staff all extremely pleasant and courteous.

We went to the Pudding Club- Atmosphere was friendly and was the host was funny, got every one involved. The tasting of desserts were good fun and sitting on a large table enabled us to meet new people. Breakfast was lovely. The hotel looks a little tired but it is clean and the staff are friendly and welcoming

Lovely hotel in Cotswolds , holds a special place as this was our wedding venue 14 years ago. There has been some changes and like many businesses since the pandemic seem like times are harder. Food was excellent, shame as only one other table with diners , so Resturant lacked atmosphere. Room was comfortable but could do with some updating.
