For fresh, seasonal fare and a focus on local ingredients - especially seafood - The Earl of March in Lavant is a standout. Just down the road, The Royal Oak offers a warm, traditional pub atmosphere with hearty classics, reimagined with a modern twist, plus a great selection of local ales and craft beers.

In nearby Halnaker, The Anglesey Arms is a charming spot serving delicious homemade dishes made with fresh, seasonal produce.

If you're after something a bit more elegant, The Ivy, offers a contemporary take on classic British cuisine in a beautiful setting.

For something lively and a bit more international, Purchases is a popular bistro with a seasonally changing menu of European and global dishes, always fresh and inventive.

Chichester Bus Station: Bus Line 50 stops at the Pavillion - Havenstoke Park- and Bus 55 in front of Harvester in Barnfield Dr.
Chichester Train Station: 13- minute drive
London: Trains from London Victoria to Chichester run every 30 minutes and take approximately 1.5 hours.

NEARBY ATTRACTIONS
West Wittering Beach is a stunning sandy Blue Flag beach within a Site of Special Scientific Interest. Largely undeveloped, it retains its natural beauty, making it perfect for walkers, swimmers, paddleboarders, and kite surfers. There’s plenty of parking available.

For breathtaking panoramic views, hike to The Trundle, the highest point on the South Downs Way, located within the Goodwood Estate.

Pagham Harbour is a peaceful nature reserve and one of the few undeveloped stretches of the Sussex coast. This internationally important wetland is home to incredible wildlife, including black-tailed godwits and little egrets. Stay for sunset - it’s breathtaking!

For a scenic walk, follow Salterns Way from Itchenor to West Wittering Beach. Alternatively, stop in The Ship Inn or The Quarterdeck Café for a bite to eat. From Itchenor, you can also take the ferry across the water to Bosham, then enjoy a picturesque 30-minute harbour walk to the historic Saxon village, home to a church featured in the Bayeux Tapestry and charming waterfront cafés and pubs.

Birdham Pool & Chichester Marina offer lovely walking trails, cafés, and boat spotting opportunities. Free parking is available, or explore via Salterns Way, which connects Chichester to West Wittering by foot or bike.

For garden lovers, West Dean Gardens (on the Midhurst Road) is a must-visit, featuring a grand pergola and a historic Arboretum. Right next door, the Weald & Downland Living Museum showcases beautifully restored historic buildings, offering a glimpse into Sussex’s rich past.
Guests will have exclusive use of the entire home, with the exception of the garage , with a dedicated parking space for one car. There is additional parking in the public car park by the park.

CHECK IN / CHECK OUT
Check in time is after 4pm and check out time is before 10am. Please can we ask that you check out on time to prevent any disruption to the cleaner's schedule.

Please note a fee of £100 for lost keys and £50 for call outs if locked out.

CLEANING/ LINEN
The property will be cleaned and prepared with linen and towels for your arrival. Mid-stay cleans are not included, but please get in touch if you would like to pay to book a clean or fresh linen and towels during your stay.

We will also provide a limited amount of consumables (toilet rolls, shampoo/conditioner etc.) to kick-start your stay and can recommend a local store where you can easily purchase more when you are settled in.

YOUNG CHILDREN
We have a travel cot and high chair available at the cottage. The stairs are fitted with a stair gate at the bottom.

IMPORTANT: On behalf of our host at Pass the Keys, we require guest verification facilitated by Truvi (Previously called Superhog). Upon confirming your booking, Truvi will contact the lead booker via a secure link, providing detailed instructions for the verification process.

The online verification requires a government-issued photo ID and a credit or debit card. During this process, you may choose between a refundable GBP 500 deposit (plus GBP 10 transaction fee currency equivalent) or purchase a non-refundable damage waiver of GBP 40 (currency equivalent) to cover potential damages during your stay.

Once the verification process is successfully completed, check-in information will be provided. If you opted in for a deposit, this will be refunded via credit/debit card after your stay, subject to an inspection of the property.
