AWFUL! Critical details omitted: 1) there are 2 flights of stairs just to get to the unit, and 2) then ANOTHER 2 flights once inside to get to the bedrooms. No elevators. If I had known this earlier, I would not have stayed there with elderly parents. Also: 3) no mention of the El tracks directly outside 2 of the bedrooms, so you hear trains roaring by day and night. Provided earplugs did nothing. The toilet in the second bathroom could barely handle a second flush, threatening to over flow every time. The layout of the downstairs was strange, with the dining table oddly far from the kitchen. Parking spot was reserved, which was nice, but it's in an alleyway littered with dumpsters and rats everywhere. The dryer broke and we had to take wet clothes home. Thank god we didn't stay another day. This is the worst rental experience I have ever had. The money would have been better spent on a single hotel room downtown.

Great location and size of place. Easy access. Responsive hist. Just had a couple maintenance issues which the host addressed. Would be very great in summer with balcony and rooftop terrace. (Unfortunately we were there in winter). Will plan on returning.

We had the perfect location for the CIFF, so easy to walk, train, or just hang out. Weather cooperated for roof hang out one night which was beautiful!

The parking situation was not as described, so we spent a lot of time plugging meters and moving the car. The microwave didn’t work. The dishwasher wasn’t draining correctly. The upstairs fire alarm wouldn’t stop the intermittent beeping. The back alley is awful, but I know that’s pretty normal. Construction was going on somewhere in the building so there was noise from that. The EL runs directly behind the unit, which is also noisy but normal Chicago. Lots of stairs. Public transportation was convenient. It really wasn’t terrible but could also have been a lot better.

Great place for families

This unit was great for families, although there are a lot of stairs so probably not great for babies or super little kids. The location is amazing too, walking distance to tons of shopping and restaurants. the beds were comfortable and had a lot of room for our family of 4 plus my Mom.
