Nice Hotel, Shuttle Service Will Be Appreciated

The hotel itself and the room we were assigned were great! We were also happy and surprised to find a very good Japanese restaurant nearby. The inly suggestion for the hotel is to provide more shuttle service to Chiayi train station so that guests don't need to lug all their heavy bags walking around.

Great hotel staff

Staff KW is an exceptional employee, great asset to your hotel. We arrived the hotel before check-in time; he offered and helped us with storing our luggage. He suggested that we go grab lunch and come back at check-in time. When we returned later, Wei took the time and helped us planned our trip to Alishan. He mentioned that on his day off Sat, which is next day, he was going to Alishan as well for fall foliage, and welcomed us to join him. After chatting with KW, we decided to meet KW at the bus stop in the morning. Wei helped us bough bus tickets and accompanied us to Alishan. On the way to Alishan, we chatted and noticed KW carried hotel brochures to distribute there, also while we were at the mountain train station, he helped other hotel guests buying next day train tickets. KW is such a generous and kind person. Really, who would go out his way to help someone that he barely knows? A Big Thank You to KW!

Nice hotel near centre

Hotel is basic. City ctr is 5 mins by taxi. Breakfast finishes at 9am and we all missed it. Room is huge and basic design. Bathroom is clean and tidy. Staffs are helpful. Overall is find and we come back next time.

Very Good Hotel

I enjoyed very much my stay at Guanko Hotel, particularly a free upgrade to a Deluxe Family Room on the top floor. The room is very big and comfy and I highly appreciated the quietness. Nice & helpful staffs. The free breakfast buffet looks horrible.

Not expecting much but disappointing

The switch control was at the centre of the bed head. When you switch off the lights in the room to sleep, the indicating lights on the panel was glowing near your head in the dark. I had to use one pillow to cover the switch panel. The room only has 2 very thin and light pillows. Insufficient pillows given that I had to use one to block the switch panel. Pillow was too light and low. Caused me neck strain the next day. I had asked for a 3-pin adaptor but the staff told me that there were not enough staff at the moment and I had to go down to the front desk to get it myself. It was 11.45pm. The hotel should not be busy then. When I went to the counter immediately after the phone call, there were 3 staffs at the reception and the lobby area was dead quiet.

服務人員很用心，說明也很仔細，從訂房開始都很主動聯繫確認。 入住房間發現冰箱有前一位客人遺留的飲品，電話反應後工作人員立刻帶著酒精進來清潔整理。半夜隔壁房太吵，一樣電話反應工作人員馬上上樓規勸。 人員服務精神真的很好！ 唯一可惜的是，飯店隔音真的很差（難怪進房發現二組耳塞😂），樓上的腳步聲，隔壁房的說話聲、電視聲，走廊的人聲，二邊房間的開關門聲都非常清楚！建議淺眠的人要來住要多考量。因為我本身也算好睡，也蠻長住飯店的，這種隔音狀況實在也是讓我大開眼界。
