Ubicación inmejorable, personal muy atento

El lugar es fantastico, la zona en que esta situado tiene muchos lugares atractivos para visitar a corta distancia. Esta situado muy cerca de Florencia y Siena. La zona de Chianti permite degustar una amplia variedad de vinos. No conociamos nada de Italia y nos hemos llevado una agradable sorpresa con nuestra visita.

Zimmer, Bad und Frühstück hervorragend. Service war aufmerksam, nett und freundlich. Einziger Kritikpunkt ist die Auffahrt von der Straße zum Hotel. Ansonsten Außenbereich, Terrassen und Aussicht traumhaft.

not worth the money

Were do I start? Reception was OK but the place was hard to find. the Parking was to far from the hotel, and even though it afforded the visitors a quieter stay, the walk from parking to the hotel was made miserable by the Grape flies. the driveway from the main road was a dirt road full of boulders and pits and I thought I was going to lose the undercarriage of the rented car. the plastic cups and the ceramic glasses in the room were dirty and unusable. breakfast was good each morning and the place was centrally located so that we could go places like Florence, Pisa, and other places we fancied. the lady behind the desk was very helpful with directions. we have had more comfortable beds, but it served.

Lovely Tuscan villa

Villa was secluded with a good view of the surrounding countryside. It was quiet and relaxing. Need a car to go around.

Boa casa de campo

A pousada fica no meio do caminho entre Castelina e Radda, bem prático. Só não recomendo andar a noite caso a visibilidade na estrada não esteja bem clara, pois é bem escuro.

Good plan, but poorly executed by staff

A lovely country location, entrance on a gravel road. Seemed like proprietors are not in tune with the finer points of customer service. Somewhat grumpy and sarcastic, especially male. After first night,towels that were soaked and on floor were hung up by maid service for next days use.asked for and were provided 2 clean towels, but not w/out sarcastic comment. Breakfast not attractive and barely any replenishment. Roads extremely dark at night.

Beautiful views of the Tuscan landscape

Beautiful scenic views in quiet location. Friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast and amazing pool overlooking the Tuscan landscape. Room perfect size for two. Nice restaurant in walking distance too! Definitely need a car to stay here however as nearest town (Radda in Chianti) is about 10mins drive

this place has real tuscan feel.. small and lovely home italian feeling.. 24hr reception great service and the rooms are very very spacious and warm italian feeling. great spot for families couples or singles. nice buffet breakfast and the pool is great. great value as well

Un bon choix pour visiter la vallée du chianti

Court séjour d'une nuit. Un peu trop court pour profiter pleinement de la piscine qui fait du bien après une chaude journée de visite. Les chambres sont très grande salle de bain également. La décoration est un peu vieille mais les chambre sont propre.seul inconvénient pas de climatisation dans la chambre du coup les nuits sont courtes quand il fait trop chaud. Le service est attentionné et très aimable.

Wir sind sehr enttäuscht!

Wir hatten das Zimmer für 4 Tage gebucht und bezahlt. Bei der Ankunft haben wir ein Zimmer direkt neben dem Eingang erhalten. Wir haben höflich nachgefragt, ob es nicht möglich sei, ein anderes Zimmer zu bekommen, weil ich sehr lärmempfindlich bin. Die Rezeptionistin musste dazu erst den Manager holen, der uns erklärte, dass zu Zeit kein anderes Zimmer frei sein, eventuell in zwei Tagen. Wir haben dann gebeten, dass er uns zusagt, dass er uns ein anderes Zimmer gibt, wenn denn eins frei werden wird, wir habe auch angeboten, mehr zu zahlen. Daraufhin wurde der Manager äußert unangenehm, er hat uns belehrt, dass er hier der Hotelier sei und wir nur der Gast. Wir hätten ein Doppelzimmer bestellt und bekommen und hätten keinerlei Anspruch auf etwas anderes. Mein Mann hat ihm dann gesagt, dass er sehr unfreundlich sei. Das führte dann zu einem Eklat. Der Manager hat uns angeschrien, dass wir nicht in Deutschland seien, alles sei videoüberwacht und er würde die Polizei holen. Wir haben dann das Hotel verlassen und haben glücklicherweise ein sehr nette Unterkunft mit freundlichen Gastgebern in der Nähe gefunden. Der Manager hat uns beim Verlassen der Hotels noch lautstark belehrt, dass er da Recht hätte, unser Zimmer an jemand anderen zu vermieten, falls wir am nächsten Tag nicht zum Frühstück erscheinen. Wir haben so ein Benehmen einem Hotel noch nie erlebt. Wir raten dringend davon ab, für dieses Hotel im Voraus zu bezahlen. Wir haben viel Geld verloren.

THe room was ok ,not more then that. The bed not too comfortable,no air conditioning,did not change towels every day etc. Also , breakast was just passable, fruit not too appealing, and the only place I have been in europe where breafast is included but not cappucino or espresso had to pay for that.

Villa in the hills of Tuscany

The villa is beautiful with a large swimming pool set in the hills of tuscany.The gardens of the villa are also very relaxing with hammocks under the trees.Radda in Chianti a beautiful little village is about 5 km and has lots of little restaurants. The only fault is there is no air conditioning & the room was very hot.

La struttura é veramente molto bella. Peccato che in camera non ci sia il climatizzatore. C'era un vecchio e rumoroso ventilatore che ho dovuto spegnere altrimenti non avrei potuto dormire per il rumore. Scandaloso il comportamento di colui il quale si é presentato come "il Direttore", persona secondo me incompatibile con il ruolo che ricopre. Sgarbato, indisponente, polemico, inopportuno, arrogante e potrei ancora continuare ma preferisco fermarmi. Avevo chiesto un poco di olio e delle posate per condire e mangiare in camera un insalata; l'olio mi é stato rifiutato, e le posate erano di plastica, neanche confezionate e talmente di scarsa qualità che si sono rotte appena ho iniziato a mangiare. Ho dovuto finire con un cucchiaio che fortunatamente avevo in valigia. Non vi dico poi la reazione di questo soggetto quando ho chiesto se si potesse trovare una soluzione per ricaricare il mio telefonino, visto che il mio carica batteria si era rotto. Sarei tornato volentieri in vacanza con mia moglie, ma viste le maniere di questo individuo non metterò mai più un piede in questo posto. Anche il livello della colazione sarebbe da migliorare.

Not recommended

We were promised a room with a view. Our room had no windows, and through the glass panes (curtained) in the door one could see a gravel parking lot. Manager was rude and disrespectful. If you do stay here, get to breakfast early, because good stuff is light and once gone not replenished.

What a great find

We had a little trouble on GPS finding it but we felt like royalty when we pulled into private drive. An amazing value ... For very comfortable country inn. Quiet and private. We had dinner in the inn sa dining room the first night because we were tired from travels. The menu was limited and ok quality. Other than that ... a great place.

Pleasant hotel except the hotel manager

The hotel itself is a very pleasant hotel, remote location with a good sized pool, good breakfast, clean room and beautiful views from the balcony. The major issue we had was the service and rude manner from the hotel manager - on the first night my wife and I had our own bottle of wine to enjoy from a local castle. Unaware of the hotel rules of no personal wine around the dining area the hotel manager stormed in and very rudely and abruptly said its unacceptable to drink your own wine - only in your room or another balcony area. I'm all fine for hotel rules but felt such disrespect from the hotel manager how he spoke to us in such a rude manner. Frankly that ruined our stay, although the lady at reception was very friendly.

Romantic location in the country

The villa and grounds were outstanding. We felt privileged to be driving up on our arrival. The grounds were amazing and wonderful to walk through and explore. Unfortunately the time of year did not enable us to enjoy the pool, although it looked like it would be fantastic. The room was spacious and clean with high ceilings, a large bathroom, plenty of closet space and drawers. The plumbing was a little noisy at night; you could hear the showers and toilet from the room above. Breakfasts could be improved and varied; it was the same every day with little imagination. Overall, we’d go back but request a room on the top floor.

A country retreat in Chianti

We stayed for 2 nights while exploring the Chianti area and had the yellow room at Villa Sant’Uberto. The room was generous in size and had a separate luggage room and generous bathroom with a massive shower! The water was hot and pressure was great for the morning wake up! The Villa is located between Radda in Chianti (RIC) and Castellina in Chianti (CIC), slightly closer to CIC and you would need your own vehicle to stay here. The parking was 200 metres away from the hotel and unfortunately it was raining both days we stayed resulting in us getting wet when leaving or arriving at the hotel – it was also over a garden area, no paved/seal walkway. This wouldn’t be an issue in summer. (+) Positives + A generous sized room with balcony and comfortable large bedding. There was plenty of storage with cupboards and draws + Staff were friendly and helpful with any requests like valuable directions to Sienna and Florence + Breakfast was a large selection and constant topping up of the main moving items. Breakfast was included in the room price. + Good value hotel (-) Negatives - There was no internet available. The hotel is a remote area and therefore not available - The driveway bottomed out our car a number of times - The TV was a small and located in a far corner of the room - No restaurant was on site but a bar and light refreshments were available Overall we had an enjoyable stay in Villa Sant’Uberto but would prefer to stay in town (CIC) on our next visit.
