The Legend is a lovely hotel by the river. The rooms are large charming cottage-style, some with patio and the sound of fountains. The hotel restaurant we chose (there a two) has very good Thai food at reasonable prices. Service is exceptional.

A very restful setting. This hotel takes advantage of the Kok River which flows throughs Chiang Rai. The rooms are in a beautiful garden setting. They are clean, air-conditioned, and well maintained. Staff are delightful. It is a 5 minute ride ~2km from the clock tower in the centre of town. Transport and tours to any location can be arranged from the desk. We would be delighted to stay here again.

We love The Legend - stayed there a few times on our trips to Chiang Rai. The hotel has amazing location on the Kok river. The breakfast buffet is beyond amazing. All the food is special and fresh with local food options. Rooms are spacious with balcony area. All the staff was friendly and professional.

The layout of the property was like being in a village without feeling of being on top of each other. It was quite and peaceful. In the morning we were greeted with traditional morning music played live.

We had an amazing stay. We spent a little more to be closer to nature and away from the town and it was definitely worth it. While still walkable to the town and the night markets, The Legend offers a nice secluded vibe with an amazing staff who are well versed in hospitality. The GM there, Eric Hallin, is a warm and convivial host. He personally greeted us at our check in and made sure to touch base with us at breakfast or in passing throughout our stay to ensure we had everything we needed. He could always be found making rounds during mealtimes chatting with all the guests and making sure everyone was satisfied. The rooms were very clean and spacious and it was a quiet, comfortable sleep. The pool area backs on to the river and we loved enjoying happy hour with a great view. Would highly recommend!
