I've got very good price from Orbitz. Room was clean and comfort.

Wifi didn't work, no shower curtain, a lot of mosquitos

we made a last min trip to chiangmai so we didn't have a lot of time to review hotels. We picked this hotel from the pictures and for the price. The room was nice, not spectacular. For the price, you can't beat it. Don't expect a 5 star hotel for a 3 star price.

I stay 3 nights at the royal peninsula hotel. The hotel is old and pretty run down. Our room lock alway took a little time for it to unlock. Our room had a unpleasant smell half the time and I believe the room beside ours was having renovations down because every day we could hear what sounded like walls being sanded. The staff was friendly enough but never went out of their way to make our stay anything extra special. The pool looked clean enough to swim but still dirty enough I didn't risk it. The free buffet was simple but it was free so I am fine with that. Lastly the local was the best part. It was just outside all the shops and markets about a 5 minute walk.

With only one night it would be difficult to say much but it was generally a pleasant experience. We went on some tours that were enjoyable. Tour desk helpful. Have never been to Chang Mai before. This introduction was quite positive.
