The rooms at Nimmanmai were reasonably comfortable but the design left a little to be desired. On the plus side the rooms were clean and the beds comfortable and the linen clean. The main issue with the room however was the washroom was too small. The shower was fine in size but it was difficult to step out of the shower and to dry oneself off without always bumping into the toilet. The design of the shower door also meant that the washroom flooded after each shower. Hotel management must know this happens and is an easy fix but don’t seem to do anything. It is not comfortable having to walk into a wet washroom. WiFi reception was terrible. Despite a signal neither of us could connect. The hotel also seems to be near the flight path of the aircraft landing so every so often we could hear aircraft land. Not loud but it was noticeable. Some things the hotel does get right however the breakfast is good and the free coffee was a nice touch. Location is also in a busy area. Good for walking out and exploring but bad if you have a car because traffic is terrible around the area. We paid premium price on a busy weekend so given the mixed bag the hotel makes a strong 3 stars.

Very helpful staff at reception and unique style of rooms which were always clean and gave the place a spacious modern feel. Fab big walk in showers! Would highly recommend and would stay again when in Chiangmai. A 10 minute walk to the old town and location near the airport. Easy to get a taxi to from the station. Breakfast buffet was basic but ok. Lots to do in the area and is close to everything you could need. There is also a launderette 2 doors down which we found really handy!

If you are debating where to stay in Chiangmai, stop and stay here! Very reasonably priced hotel for the quality. In much of Asia I have encountered beds that are as hard as an ironing board, but these beds are super soft! It is a short walking distance away from tons of trendy restaurants and coffee shops and a nice mall with rooftop bars (This is the art district of town) and I recommend it over the old city area which is not as nice. Everything is clean, we had a gorgeous view from the balcony and the staff is super nice and speak English well (the hotel manager Nikki was especially helpful)! Couldn't be happier with my stay and would come back for sure.

The hotel located in the middle of chiang mai city "Nimmanhemin" where the many famous coffee shop, pub and bar, restuarant were located. During serching the hotel to stay in Nimmanhemin area I came accross then found this one by accident and finally booked this hotel as I like the room decoration and also if compared with the room rate it's not expensive at all, by the way I'm that not expected as believe that the picture showing on the website is always surreal. Finally, when i came to checkec-in the staff was very nice and once entered to room I found that all the was real (I forgot to told you that i booked silk cocoon style)the appearance of the hotel bluiding is a bit under expectation but overall everything is worth every penny. If compared with the money I have paid for from the things I have got I definitely rate 5 stars for them.

This is just OK hotel. I like the room deco with chinese style red color furniture. Looks like they turned the old apartment into the hotel. Room needs refurbishment, bathroom ceiling needs touch up. Towels are very old and overused. No pool. Breakfast selection is very little. Hotel situated in a little street from main nimman so you may have to walk a little long way... I am sure there are many better choice....

Dear GM Niwatcharee, First I want thank you for your actions for proving alternative hotel "Art Mai?" due to inconveniences cause by an fire incident at "Nimanmai" on 14 June 2017. As I am on my business trip in Chiang Mai last 13-17 June 2017 it is important to me take a rest while preparing for the next day. 10:30pm when fire alarm rang "luckily its working" as there is ongoing fire on the six floor and smoke is coming out from the room. The incident happen about 10:30 pm and about 12:00am i been moved to alternative hotel which is ArtMai. Honestly i slept about 2:00am that day as my fear of fire alarm might ring again so better to be ready. Although your team has recovered for the inconvenience still i wanted to share with you my overall experience in nimanmai. The staff did a great job however there are still some rooms for improvement some serious issues i would like to share with you which i hope the team can focus. First issue: "Room cleaning" My room is clean at first look and i was happy when i arrived at "Nimanmai" until I woke up the next day 14 June and saw this creepy creature please see attached photo. I stayed in Room 806. As a fellow hotelier I want to address you this issue as this really had a big impact in guest experience. Any guest wouldn't like to wake up with a Cackroach on the floor. Second: "Breakfast time" I understand that breakfast at niman mai? starts at 7:00 am. In the morning of 14 June i went down to the restaurant about 6:45 am to have a breakfast however the fb staff informed me to wait until 7:00 am as per your policy. I can grab a cup of coffee while waiting for the exact breakfast time but your fb staff is to serious about your policy. Third: "Airport Transfer" I booked my room and airport transfer and paid accordingly however on 17 June on my way back to airport I was surprised that I had to pay 250 thb for the transfer which I already paid. I called the reception and ask to refund my airport tranfer fee but unfortunately until today i haven't received any refund from your team. It would be great if your staff can be more focus on guest reservation details before and even checking out. Sadly Nimanmai didn't recover worst add more inconvenience until the last day of my stay in Chiang Mai. I've sent an email to your GM K. Niwatcharee on 17 June but until now no response from Niman Mai Team. Definitely will not recommend this hotel and never waste money again at Niman Mai.

We love this small hotel so much, the staff here are the real stars, from the first moment we arrived we knew we had made the right choice. EVERYONE was so friendly and helpful, the room so clean and the location just within 4 minutes from Nimman area. I would definitely stay at Nimman Mai again next time I'm in Chiangmai!

I stayed in a "Silk Cocoon" for 3 nights in Chiang Mai and it was exceed my expectation!! The Receptionist was so friendly and gave me a nice place to hang out around Nimmanhemin area, she also recommended me to a place where local people love to go there, it just was so impressive. A Silk Cocoon Room just so 'Cocoon' I felt like I'm at at my comfy bed at home, a room is so nice and yet very clean. At first I didn't expected all these things before but the room decoration, room design and the attentive staff were made my trip so completed! Will definitely come back!

Different designed room in each floor. Room is small but suitable for one person stay. Location is a bit deep in littel street and difficult to find as not noticeable signage from Nimmarn road. I faced the unexpected incident during the night time but staff are very helpful and try their best to handle all situation. Thank you.

We choose this hotel for the location and for the swimming pool with my friend for 2 nights . Finally when we arrive , we see the swimming pool in lobby without window , look like a big jacuzzi ...people in lobby can see you in pool ..look like a Zoo ..we choose to stay here because we book and go in water park We go back in room for take some rest but impossible because the hotel is exactly on the way when the plane take off from airport so every 5/10 min the building shake ... We choose to move in another hotel ..after one night ..
