Stayed here on a recent business trip. Room not ready on arrival as arrived before 2 pm (understandable) so decided to grab some lunch at their all day dining restaurant: club sandwich toast wasn't even toasted and smothered in sauce. After a while went to room: room seems to have been renovated recently: bed comfortable & bathroom looked modern. Shower head too low for foreigners but this is common in Thailand. Ordered room service: food was again not good. Breakfast service is minimal: no coffee or tea service (get your own on buffet), inattentive staff, very average. On checkout the shuttle to airport was only THB 100 while Grabtaxi on the way from airport was 150, so hotel significantly cheaper. Overall room OK, but food & beverage not.
The location is not central and the surrrounding area ugly, run down. The hotel itself is nice, executive room large and generously outfitted. This hotel is obviously saving money as none of the corridors, elevators etc. have aircondition. Only the rooms and the lobby/restaurants have aircondition. Staff friendly and helpful. 99% of clients are Chinese tour groups; breakfast predominantly geared to their taste. Not my first choice although rates attractive.
Nice atmosphere, great service, soft live dinner music, and just average food and small portions. The prices are high, and I think it is more about the atmosphere than the food. I will go back, not for the food, but for the atmosphere.
Stayed in a double bedroom room with some mates, was suited well to our need and had enough room for all of us to stretch out. (There were 4 of us in total). Some areas of the hotel need a lil attention such as the pool areas but overall a very good hotel close to shopping centres. Tuk tuks are cheap and readily available should you wish to sight see.
Check your bill at this place. This is one of the very few places in Chiangmai you have to watch out. Being frauded with wrong charges in every visits of this place,my advice is to check your bill before you agree to pay. Elsewhere beautiful view and nice food.
Excellent staff. Front office staff very professional, and helpful. Room very clean. Excellent Breakfast. Rates also one of the by for such a well maintained property. Tour Operator sitting at lobby- Mr Wee , Nature North Travel, a very competent and knowledgeable tour operator. Excellent. Offered the best rates. Would love to stay again, and strongly recommend both Hotel and Tour Operator to all guests
Very dated and in need of a face lift, but nothing too concerning...great staff, very friendly. Room was amazing, very spacious ..with everything you could need, pool area is divine. Close to Maya for food or shopping.
We book this hotel because of its reviews. Location was not good for what we wanted to do. We had to take a taxi to everywhere. What I really enjoy was the Happy Hour. I'm from California so I was surprise to see that they were serving a decent, tasty wine happy hour. Also the appetizers were really good and different each day.
Been there in a low season, so for the price they offered it was the best experience in Chiang Mai area. Especially the rooftop with the pool and dining area. Take someone you like for the dinner there - it's definitely worth it.
The positive: The staff were nice and helpful. The room/bed was clean (in general). The location is convenient. It's across from the Maya Mall. The little restaurant across from the hotel is AMAZING! She also does laundry if you need it. You really are within walking distance from everywhere. The Negative: I wanted to like this property because it was recommended to me. The place was terrible. This hotel is old and it shows. The rooms are dated. The beds are very hard and the showers are horrible. The smell like mold, are full of soap scum and just look dirty. The furniture is stained and ripped in some places. It also has a less than pleasant smell. We changed rooms two times because the air did not work properly. By the time we got to the 3rd room, we decided to just check out. I guess this hotel is fine if you don't really care where you sleep, but I am not that kind of traveller. I need to feel comfortable in my surroundings. So, stay at your own risk.
