This was my second stay at this “transit hotel”. I was traveling from Chetumal to Cancun and needed a cheap hotel to rest for the night and continue the following morning. The hotel is not luxurious by any means but who cares if you’re just there to rest. The rooms are dark, but appeared to be very clean and well taken care of. Upon check in the receptionist did not ask for my ID, just my name and handed me my room key, safety issue? Since the hotel is located on a busy street it is VERY NOISY, PLEASE BRING EARPLUGS. I tried to sleep without the earplugs but that wasn’t going to happen. I could hear a party on the backside, cars revving their engines and heavy conversations. BREAKFAST: The hotel claims that they offer a continental breakfast but I wouldn’t recommend it. It’s one guy managing the whole kitchen and the service area. It took us 1.5 hours for the server/cook to make us toast, and a few cuts of fruit. I wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re really tight on money, my hats off to him for hustling. VERDICT: Would I stay here again? Probably. You can’t beat these cheap $30 a night hotel rooms that offer a bed to rest.

I was road tripping from Calakmul to Cancun and needed a place to stay for the night since it was getting late. I choose to stop at Felipe Carrillo since it was kind of a mid point from Chetumal to Cancun. The room was very basic, older furniture, bad lighting and old decor but that didn't bug me. The room appeared clean and the A/C blew cold air. Not sure if they offer breakfast but I recommend this hotel if you're simply passing by, I don't recommend this hotel for a honeymoon/date et cetera. There was free parking and the cost of my stay was around $24 which you can't beat that. It was a decent stay at a mediocre building.

This little hotel is out of the downtown area so one would need a car or a taxi. It is newish and perfectly fine for a short stay. Rooms are clean, spare, quiet and secure...one has to walk through the lobby (under the watchful eyes of management) in order to get anywhere. Parking is outside on the property and open to the street. Personnel is friendly and helpful. There aren't many hotels to choose from in FCP and this may be the best, away from the downtown traffic. A standard continental breakfast is served until 11...fruit, toast, coffee, fresh juice. Overall, we thought the hotel price was on the high side for its amenities and location.

Nice hotel, good location, excellent staff, especially front desk and restaurant, big bed, clean room, nice bathroom/shower. We were the only ones 2 nights for dinner but the chef did a fine set of meals for us: good presentation, reasonable price too. Meat, chicken, fish all good value. Also refrigerated our ice packs and cooler nightly. Definitely the place to stay if you are in Felippe Carillo Puerto.

Was on route and needed to sleep in this town, so this was the best one can find here, and for what we got the price was fair. The insulation is poor, speaking in the corridor will keep all the guested awake. The outside noises, of the neighborhood, cars etc. can be illuminated as I did- stick plugs in your ears. There was no TV, and the breakfast was poor and it took 30 minutes to get it and

I had business in Felipe Carrillo Puerto and found the Hotel Turquesa Maya. I have stayed in other hotels in town and this by far is the best. Nothing fancy but who need fancy when you have clean and inexpensive. This will always be the place for me to stay.

The staff were friendly and helpful. By choice, I stayed on the 3rd floor first night where internet was poor. On the 2nd floor, it was fine. The beds are comfortable, but there is no blanket, only a sheet, so I had to use the air conditioner at 75 degrees which didn't dehumidify the room as much as I'd have liked.

Unfortunately we can give a feedback on the room because for a technical problem they booked a room to another hotel (La Caibas, very good place to stay!) at the same rate. We went back to the Turquesa Maya the following morning to have breakfast that was very good.
