Welcome to Mountain View Retreat, a brand-new cabin in Cherry Log, ideally situated between Blue Ridge and Ellijay. With lots of space to spread out and beautiful mountain views, this charming home offers the perfect secluded getaway for friends and family. Spend the morning on the deck sipping coffee while you gently rock in the porch swing or get comfy on the outdoor sofa. Downstairs, you’ll find a quiet patio with a picnic table, a great spot for an alfresco afternoon snack.

Inside, the open-concept main floor is flooded with light thanks to the large picture windows. Knotty-pine walls and ceilings, as well as a huge stone fireplace, create a rustic feel, yet you’ll lack none of the modern amenities. The chef will love the open, well-equipped kitchen, with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, and everyone can gather together at the adjacent table for mealtime.

At the end of a fun day exploring, there’s lots more fun to be had at home. Entertainment options include six streaming-capable TVs, free WiFi, lots of board games, a ping-pong table, card table, and a wet bar downstairs, featuring a handy mini-fridge and microwave – perfect for making some popcorn and snuggling up for a movie. Upstairs, you’ll love getting cozy in front of the gas fireplace on the electric reclining seats. When the sun goes down, head outside to the firepit to roast some marshmallows and admire the mountain sky before drifting off to sleep in one of the four well-appointed bedrooms, each with a king bed. With a space this lovely and private, the only question left is how many extra days you’ll want to book.

The host experience was not ideal, I never got in contact with an actual human. I just kept being re-routed to robots.2 of the 4 bedrooms were inhabitable due to the amount of ladybugs living in those rooms. I made the mistake of placing my luggage in one of the bedrooms and at least 10 ladybugs were on my luggage in less than 15 minutes. The ladybugs were also flying in and around the first floor. They were in the kitchen, the bedrooms and bathrooms. Dare I say this cabin is infested with ladybugs. My party and I arrived late evening (after sunset), and we struggled finding the cabin due to the cleaning crew not leaving any lights on- it was incredibly difficult to find it due to the Appalachian darkness.

Very clean, and with ample supplies. Equipped with plenty of blankets as weather was cold. Fireplace kept us quite warm. However, downstairs area only had 2 space heaters which did work but left rooms very cold when turned off.The door code was very long and often took several tries to open door. Overall, the cabin was very enjoyable. It met all our needs.

The cabin was really nice, we had plenty of space for the 5 of us. The view was nice and the family of deer we saw every morning was amazing. There was a cold front so it was extremely cold downstairs but the heaters helped. Kitchen was nicely stocked. Need to label the light switches anf a curtain over the front door.

Great girls get away for apple picking, hiking and mountain biking!! The home was clean and comfortable. We each had our own room and full bathroom. Sitting on the porch was nice in the AM and PM. Would recommend patio furniture with a bit more comfort since this is a great place to sit and enjoy nature. Thanks for a great place to stay!! :)

Beautiful Cabin and Gorgeous Scenery

Highly recommend this property. It’s very clean and comfortable. We liked that it was only a few miles from Blue Ridge. There were just four of us that stayed in the cabin this time, but it would be great for a larger crowd! Unfortunately the ice maker and freezer went out on our second day there. That was inconvenient. The management was helpful in having it repaired.

The house was perfect for girlfriends getaway. We each had our own bedroom and 3 full bathrooms. The house was clean and well equipped. Check-in and checkout processes were easy. A great location that was close to Blue Ridge with hiking, shopping and excellent restaurants. We would definitely choose the site again.

What should have been a peaceful five star getaway quickly turned into a two star experience. The fridge and freezer didn’t work, causing all of our groceries to spoil. Despite reporting this immediately, we were told to contact a repair company ourselves something no guest should have to deal with on vacation. The outdoor trash bin was full when we arrived, and the lid didn’t lock, which led to animals scattering garbage overnight. We contacted the host multiple times, but only received generic, unhelpful replies. The kitchen sink was also clogged, and we found a used drain snake left behind; unsanitary and unpleasant. While the cabin itself is beautiful, the lack of maintenance and support was unacceptable. Very disappointing.
