What can I say I arrived the afternoon after Helene went through Waynesville. The unit had power but no internet or cell service. I was able to stay for two nights but had no way to communicate to my family I was safe, was getting low on cash so felt it best I return home. Reached out to the owner a bit after I got home to see if I could rebook the unused days for a letter date. No response. I wasn’t asking for a refund and would have been okay with them responding with a no, but felt I was due a response. Oh well. Now this review is NOT based on their lack of response but how it felt to be there with nothing to do but read. Their lighting is terrible for trying to read both in the living area and the bedroom. Also, nothing homey about this unit. No special touches like most other places have. While I loved Waynesville and came to look about moving there, I can say without a doubt, Waynesville is amazing, resilient, super kind people and a place I will return. Just not in this unit or with this unresponsive owner.
