Close to the Metro station but the surrounding area is tranquil. I was used the HKSAR 50% off discount for three nights stay in a Deluxe Suite, the room is big but the fitting is deteriorating, and a little bit old, the carpet needs to have a deep clean as I can feel the dust if I walk in barefoot. overall It is a good experience in this hotel, the front desk and concierge were helpful, and the breakful is tasty.
Terrible hotel. Dated and next to a niteclub with loud booming music through the night. When I called the front desk for a change of room as i just can’t sleep in that condition, I was told that the quieter side of the hotel is full. I simply don’t believe this hotel is full on one side. It’s just plain lazy staff who is too lazy to move their fingers and help guests. The hotel may even consider upgrade to a quieter side (even its a goodwill upgrade) if the cheaper rooms are full. I will be cutting my stay here short from 4 nights to just 1 night of hell. I need my sleep to be sane.
I guess the hotel has been running for at least 15 to 20 years, but given the central location and relatively low price, it turned out to be quite a good place for a short biz trip. The room is quite comfortable. Didn't have a chance to use the indoor pool, but it looks nice.
Stayed here for 4nights in Sep17 for tourism. Location is average, there was limited choice of food nearby unless one dont mind walking 10+mins. The travelling mate was not physically fit then hence we took taxi everywhere. Overall room was ok, we didnt get any upgrade as SPG Plat. I liked the choice to opt for a Sheraton mini panda toy instead of the 500 welcome points, but thats a personal choice. Club lounge has very limited choice of food as it tends to run out very fast esp the skewers. I like te breakfast as it has a very good spread and balance between international and local. Only gripe probably is that fact that almost all staff spoke very little English and can barely understand simple words used during check in, i.e i was trying to confirm that I am still entitled to breakfast as SPG benefits but struggled to comm in Engish. Overall, i would still recommend this hotel to visitors in Chengdu. The city is beautiful, didnt feel as rush and crowded as Chongqing which we visited after Chengdu. Love that we can see panda posters, statues everywhere as am a big panda fan.
As a platinum SPG member it's easy, access to the club floor with all benefits such as happy hour, smooth breakfast and so on. The rooms are ok, nothing special, clean but no any nice view available, it's bad luck for the hotel. The location is excellent, just few hundred meters to the famous old street with many restaurants and bars. Just beside the hotel also few good restaurants. The hotel staff very kind and helpful all the time. If I need to go to Chengdu again I will definitely stay at the Sheraton.
I checked in at 12midnight for a 2 night stay and I was glad that the Bed is super comfy but room is much smaller than I expected. So if you are coming with 2 small kids to stay for vacation it can be a problem. Anyway breakfast is simple and not much of green vegetable except for cabbage and others. Lots of fruits and bread and the noodle stall is good. Hotel location is next to subway station and that helps if u want to get around. There's a fruit stall at the cross junction and the 24hrs convenience stall is about 300m away. But the road to the convenience store is not well lit at night. The shopping mall is a straight 800m walk but expects pricing to be high. As next to the hotel is a stadium and pretty quiet at night, so there's No food places after 11pm or pub places around so if u want night drinks or food, hotel lounge is the only available choice. Then again, taxi is fast so go elsewhere in the city. For business stay this is ok for short stay, but not for longer weeks. I don't think I'll stay here if I come here with my kids to see Panda in the future.
The location is fantastic, the subway station is just across the road. There are small restaurants and shopping mall nearby. The building is beautiful except that the fountain in the middle splashes all over. The room is three star!! The shower is a small triangular corner and the shower head is a small one with no handheld. The handheld one is at the bathtub around four steps away, that is, have to walk across in wet body. And there is no curtain at the tub. The bathroom was all wet after using. Have to ask for extra towel every day!! There was no napkin near the bed and power/USB only available at one side of the bed. Expect more when it is Sheraton.
I chose this hotel since from Google Map it was close to Tianfu Square (but not that close, actually). Me and my friend arrived at 0400am in the hotel and we knew that check in time at 2pm. We were okay to wait untill at least 12pm but the receptionist was really helpful and we can check in at 7am! Really thank you for that! The room was kinda old but comfort. We got 25th Floor, so we can enjoy the scenery of Chengdu city. The bed, the pillow, the air conditioner was great. The breakfast was also great. Even Me and my friends can't eat pork, but we still could manage to have nice and enjoyable breakfast. The staffs were kind and willing to help, some of them can speak English, so we still survive at the hotel. I would say the location is not so close to Tianfu Square and Chunxi Road, but still could walk distance. There is a Chengdu MRT station near the hotel (Luangshi) and there are a shopping centre near the hotel. There is a Bank of China ATM in the 2nd Fl. And I can withdrew cash using my Indonesia ATM Card. Near the hotel there is also a Halal Food Stall so the moslems can have their dinner inexpensive. After all, the stays in this hotel is really enjoyable and worth every pennies.
I was in town for two weeks on business. During this stay I had some of the best customer service I have had from the staff. From check in to the restaurant and bar, the staff was excellent, The room was nice and very large. The staff kept everything very clean and I had extra water bottles each morning so I could run a nd workout.
The location is good as it is right next to subway station. Only one to two stops to major sightseeing points. The service is good at the Executive club with breakfast cocktail and snacks included. It is really good value for money. Room rate is reasonable. Staff are friendly and helpful
