The location is fantastic, the subway station is just across the road. There are small restaurants and shopping mall nearby. The building is beautiful except that the fountain in the middle splashes all over. The room is three star!! The shower is a small triangular corner and the shower head is a small one with no handheld. The handheld one is at the bathtub around four steps away, that is, have to walk across in wet body. And there is no curtain at the tub. The bathroom was all wet after using. Have to ask for extra towel every day!! There was no napkin near the bed and power/USB only available at one side of the bed. Expect more when it is Sheraton.
I chose this hotel since from Google Map it was close to Tianfu Square (but not that close, actually). Me and my friend arrived at 0400am in the hotel and we knew that check in time at 2pm. We were okay to wait untill at least 12pm but the receptionist was really helpful and we can check in at 7am! Really thank you for that! The room was kinda old but comfort. We got 25th Floor, so we can enjoy the scenery of Chengdu city. The bed, the pillow, the air conditioner was great. The breakfast was also great. Even Me and my friends can't eat pork, but we still could manage to have nice and enjoyable breakfast. The staffs were kind and willing to help, some of them can speak English, so we still survive at the hotel. I would say the location is not so close to Tianfu Square and Chunxi Road, but still could walk distance. There is a Chengdu MRT station near the hotel (Luangshi) and there are a shopping centre near the hotel. There is a Bank of China ATM in the 2nd Fl. And I can withdrew cash using my Indonesia ATM Card. Near the hotel there is also a Halal Food Stall so the moslems can have their dinner inexpensive. After all, the stays in this hotel is really enjoyable and worth every pennies.
I was in town for two weeks on business. During this stay I had some of the best customer service I have had from the staff. From check in to the restaurant and bar, the staff was excellent, The room was nice and very large. The staff kept everything very clean and I had extra water bottles each morning so I could run a nd workout.
The location is good as it is right next to subway station. Only one to two stops to major sightseeing points. The service is good at the Executive club with breakfast cocktail and snacks included. It is really good value for money. Room rate is reasonable. Staff are friendly and helpful
Looking for company for the night then this is the place to go Walk the surrounding streets and get a proposition for massage every 5 yards Alternatively you can just sit in the lobby and the parade will pass you by The hotel is nice but obviously dated and in serious need of a new direction. No longer like a international standard Sheraton hotel but more a local Chinese hotel with a Sheraton label. Obviously the owning company has a lot of influence in the operation. The core product seems good. Rooms ok. Amenities ok. Prices ok and location is good. With a change in direction could be back on top as one of the top 5 hotels in chengdu.
I had a recent 3 nights stay there for a leisure trip to Chengdu. The staffs there are welcoming and helpful! Whenever you are coming in and out from the hotel, you are always greeted by cheerful doormen which make you feel very welcomed! The room is spacious and clean, just a little suggestion that more bottled water could be placed in the room and increase the water pressure for the shower facilities. There is a metro station next to the hotel which is great for getting round in the city. Overall, my was pleasant and relaxing, thank you!
This hotel has a very good location, excellent staff and nice rooms for a really reasonable price. I stayed here four different nights over a two week period when touring Sichuan and Tibet and was always greeted warmly and given a great room for under $100.00 per night including a huge buffet breakfast. Highly recommended!
We were really very happy with our stay. We had a suite on the 20th and 28th floor. Both were nice, though we preferred the 28th floor because it was little more updated. The hotel in general is very nice and did not find the other reviews about it looking dated to be accurate. The lobby is very pretty. The lounge is very pretty as well and very comfortable. There are two rooms which is nice because you can spread out. We found the food in the lounge to be excellent. The warm dishes we had were very Sichuanese which I appreciate because it’s local cuisine! and the food was of good quality. The cakes they have for dessert and tea time were great, some of the best I’ve had in Asia. Again, it all tasted very high quality. At dinner they have an assortment of cheese, mini sandwiches, a salad bar, 5 hot dishes, Sichuan style skewers with chili pepper spices and a nice selection of fruit as well as cakes for dessert. I liked the alcohol selection as well. We are Platinum members and in addition to our room, booked a room for a friend but the hotel wouldn’t extend club access to her for free, which has been our experience in the past, so we paid for our friend to have access. We felt the money was very well spent given the club was so relaxing and the food very enjoyable. The staff at the front desk and in the lounge were very helpful and SUPER on top of things which is always a huge plus. We wrote the hotel a few times before our stay and they were super quick to respond and we really appreciated that. The air conditioner was little finicky and we had to call on two different occasions to have it adjusted. But then again, that has been the norm in my experience all over China even at the JW and Ritz to have air conditioners that don’t work well. It seems to be a very common problem in Asia, so I don’t fault the hotel for that. We would absolutely stay here again.
Overall,it was a nice stay. Hotel room was slightly outdated. It is not a new hotel. Breakfast is interesting with variety of choices. Wifi is working. Location is very good, close to city centre and 5 min walking distance to Metro line. Easy to get taxi to go around too.
Checking out today. Our 4 days stay with Sheraton in the Club level has been comfortable. Unlike most Sheraton we had stayed with around the world the rooms here are small in size. View out the window; see nearby older buildings being torn down. Good location, walking distance to some attractions. Just needs a facelift and renovation. Not very good sound insulation in the room as can hear the sound of the lift in operation and the kid next door crying in the night. The staff were friendly and accommodating but needs a little improvement in their English when communicating. Most times had to speak Chinese with them. Beds and pillows very comfortable and housekeeping does a good job of keeping room clean. We can smell cigarette smoke getting into the room most time we are inside.
