First time at a Radisson Blu - most impressed. Great welcome - room fantastic and the breakfast ( European) brilliant. Will definitely use this group of hotels again. Concierge staff especially helpful.

The hotel was well located close to the sights we were interested in. The city has an undeserved reputation for being just an industrial center but we found the Regional Museum, pedestrian street, parks and restaurants to be worthy of a few days stay. The hotel was the perfect location for our time in Chelyabinsk. Highly recommended.

It's probably the best hotel in Chelyabinsk, the leisure facilities are very nice, rooms are spacious, bathrooms light and well designed. The bed was very comfy and the view was actually pretty OK too. The breakfast was very good, always fresh and staff very attentive. They always topped up food so it was hot and fresh, even if it was not such a busy breakfast time. The on site restaurant is very good, also, with nice beer made on site. My only major complaint was the room was very hot (26C) when I arrived. I know Russian's like their buildings to be very warm so was not surprised, but I was surprised that it is not possible to lower the temperature. I applied the thermostat to the minimum (there is no temperature setting, just a degree of +/-). After 2 hours, the temperature had not changed, so I phoned reception. They immediately sent someone to help, who, upon walking in, told me that the air conditioning ONLY heats and does not cool. The solution is to open the window. Obviously not a great solution; despite it being -22C outside, the window opens 15cm and is a hinged window, so you don't actually get any cold air inside. After 2 hours trying to sleep like this, with the industrial noises of the city outside, I closed the window and sweated for 3 days. So really, for me, that's a big downside as what is the point of an air conditioning system that cannot pipe cold air from outside? It's free!

I am getting used to staying in Radissons. They are good hotels for business travellers. Comfortable beds, clean rooms, efficient friendly staff. This stay was fine. Negative was that the room was way too hot. I left the window open 3 hours at -16 outside and it was still baking... Breakfast was a bit hit and miss. the bed was great though and I slept pretty well

You can find everything what you can expect from good Radisson hotel there and I could award them with the maximal note easily, if not one blemish on the perfectness: I asked for a booking of taxi to the airport for the next morning, at the reception desk. They were happy to do but I was told that the price is 1500 RUB. I was a bit surprised as it was almost twice the price, I paid for getting there from the airport. Therefore, I asked for confirmation of price and some more details - only then I was told that it is transfer by their ‘hotel service’, by ‘nice and comfy BMW’. I have nothing against BMW, however I hate to overpay so I asked about city taxi (again). It was finally ordered for me but only after warning that ‘probably, I won’t receive any receipt for such service from the driver’. Next morning taxi waited just as ordered (it was quite new and big Ford Mondeo), I got to the airport perfectly on time, the receipt was given without any problems and the price was 550 RUB …

Everything was good except the temperature in the room was very hot and could not be adjusted…. so the staff had to relocate me to a lower floor / room. ………. Food was fine but as I am a vegetarian…there was not much to choose from. Hopefully in the future the restaurant will have a large selection of foods / dishes to choose from.

Friends, Do not believe the ratings of the other hotels in Chelyabinsk, seems to be fake ratings. We finally stayed at Radisson Blu, the room and staff were exceptional. The hotel is modern and fresh, all up to today’s standards. I must say again how wonderful the staff was, they put everything in order and accommodated all our wishes. I can only recommend this hotel, the only real good hotel in Chelyabinsk that meets the international travelers complete needs. Thank you Radisson Blu team Chelyabinsk for all your sincere hospitality.

this is a very nice four star chain hotel in Chelyabinsk city. Clean, comfortable and good location with breafast. I was having a corner room with a good view by day and night. Recommend this hotel for sure

Execellent service, nice and kind and helpful! They exceeded my expections! The rooms are very clean tidy and organized, and they provide great service. Would recommend anybody for this hotel! Definitely will come back again!

The hotel and staff were generally excellent as I would expect from a Radisson Blu and very much up to the best european standars. The hotel itself is well appointed, the rooms clean and modern. I found the food in the Bavarian themed restaurant, Paulaner Brauhaus, excellent and, to a non German but frequent visitor to Bavaria, seemingly authentic. As a bonus, Bavarian beer is brewed on the premises and is very good indeed. Personally I found the breakfast excellent with a wide variety of food, both hot and cold, bread, fruit, juice, tea and coffee, etc. The young lady who cooked eggs to order was friendly, fast, and the resulting dish very good! As others have said, the wifi was very good throughout the hotel, fast and reliable. Now to the niggles, on the first night the room was very warm and the heating/cooling fan was extremely noisy, so I switched it off. I reported it the next morning and when I returned in the evening found it had been "fixed" by disabling the wall control and thermostat! Now I understand this may be an issue in obtaining replacement parts, and to be fair it didn't create any issues for me as I discovered how to open the window and regulate the room temperature that way, but I do feel, having reported it, I should have been informed. My second niggle was the replenishment of the mini bar in the room (cold water and the occasional snack) which was inconsistent and I was charged for something that wasn't in the mini bar on my day of arrival (it was immediately removed from the bill when I complained). I feel sure if I had phoned reception this would have been addressed immediately, but it was not that big a deal for me so I didn't bother. Nonetheless it is a minor drop in standards and seems to indicate the room staff are not being audited sufficiently. Having said all that I would definitely recommend the hotel to any travellers, I thoroughly enjoyed my first visit to Russia and Chelyabinsk, and will definitely stay at the hotel during upcoming business trips. I would like in particular to mention the staff who were unfailingly pleasant and helpful, which always makes a hotel stay that little bit special.
