Learn about Sheridan's history and place in the Wild West at the Brinton Museum. Sheridan is also home to a T-Rex Natural History Museum that showcases the prehistoric history and remains of dinosaurs that once roamed the area.

Hints and tips

When you fly to Sheridan, you will arrive at the Sheridan county airport, located about two miles southwest of the center of town. Renting a car will allow you to easily explore Sheridan and the surrounding area. If you choose not to hire a car, taxis are available to take you to your final destination. Visit Sheridan in early July to attend the Sheridan Wyo-Rodeo, one of the largest rodeos in the U.S. The weeklong event also includes pageants, art exhibits, a carnival and golf tournament.
