Fly to Pocatello

If you fly to Pocatello, be prepared for a unique experience in "the gateway to the Northwest." Whether you re going to Idaho for a fishing trip, or visiting the Bluegrass Festival or attending an Indian Festival Pow Wow, there are many reasons to travel to the city.

Attractions

Discover the Targhee National Forest in Caribo, home of the National Recreation Water Trail, where you can float down the river for 5 miles, observing the wildlife from the water.

Visit the Bannock County Historical Museum, with its Shoshoni and Bannock ethnographic photos and artificats. Hike or bike the trails of the Cherry Springs Nature Trail in Pocatello.

Families will enjoy horse-drawn rides at Cheyenne Crossing, and the Highland Golf Club is located southeast of Idaho Falls for golfers. Nordic ski, horseback ride, hike or take wildlife photographs at the Portneuf Wildlife Management Area, south of Pocatello.

You can also fish on the Portneuf River or explore the Kizuna Garden in town.
