The city of Johor Bahru is the capital of Malaysia, and it is filled with modern and historic attractions throughout the city. Some of the most popular historic areas of the city include the Sultan Abu Bakar State Mosque and the Aurlmigu Sri Rajakaliamman Glass Temple. For those traveling with children, LEGOLAND has a location in Johor Bahru, which has rides, shops, food and a water park.
The Arulmigu Sri Rajakaliamman Glass Temple is the world's first and only glass temple, and it was originally built in 1922. The temple has been run by a variety of different chief priests throughout the years, but Sri Sinnathamby Sivasamy decided to remodel it as a glass temple in 1991, and it was officially reopened again in 1996. If you're looking for a fun area of the city to spend some time in, you should head over to Danga Bay. This area is lined with shops and restaurants, and you can enjoy some time on in the water by relaxing on the shoreline or taking a ride on one of the boats.
When you fly to Johor Bahru, you'll arrive at the Senai International Airport (JHB) near the Palm Resort Golf & Country Club. Travelers who love film and arts can visit the city in June when the Johor Bahru Film Festival takes place.
