When you fly to Devils Lake in North Dakota, you ll touch down in one of the most popular fishing destinations in the country. The main attraction of the city is the lake itself. Devils Lake is known as the perch capital of the world, which makes any fisherman happy. With numerous boat docks and businesses around the lake that offer rental boats and a variety of recreational activities, Devils Lake is a nature lover's dream attraction.
Visitors will also want to head to Grahams Island State Park. This park offers camping facilities, scenic picnicking areas, hiking trails and fishing opportunities. Visitors can launch their boats into the lake using one of the many boat docks available or head to one of the piers to fish. The park has clean shower and restroom facilities as well as a fish cleaning station, so you'll be able to prepare the days catch fresh from the water.
Devils Lake Regional Airport (DVL) is located two miles west of the city and offers several transportation options to and from the airport, including car rentals, cab services and public transportation offered by Ramsey County. Annual summer temperatures usually peak at around 60 degrees while low temperatures in winter drop to around 30 degrees, so be sure to pack accordingly.
