We tried to check in and the desk had no record of 3 people - they told me I had a room for 1 adult and 1 baby and could reserve a suite for an additional $120 Swiss francs per night (!!!!) I produced a copy of my reservation which clearly stated 3 people were staying there and that it included a folding bed. I was told this meant a baby bed. Luckily I had reserved through Best Western and was able to call the corporate office who helped coach me on how to fix the problem. I asked to speak with a manager who moved us to the suite at no charge, which we appreciated, but this took 90 minutes of waiting with my exhausted kids. On top of this, the floor above us was undergoing some kind of work and at 8:30 both mornings there was loud drilling on the floor of some kind. I recommend you absolutely find another place to stay or know that the language on the website for the room doesn't matter to the staff there.

We should have known it was bad when the hotel shuttle drove off without us at the airport. We waved at it, but the driver didn't care. Then we waited 45 minutes in the broiling heat to be picked up - we had to call the hotel 3 times. No apology when we arrived. The female driver who was the one who drove off just shrugged her shoulders and continued talking with the manager of the front desk who also didn't care. At the pool bar the female bartender refused to understand an order for "Drei Fassbier" (I am Danish) - and only reacted when it was changed to "trois pression" - I am aware that there are linguistic and cultural barriers in Switzerland - but people working in the hospitality business need to leave such issues at home. Later that evening, an American couple joined our dinner table. We waited and waited. No service. Finally I asked the waiter working the drinks to please get us a waiter. He refused. Not his job. Even later, when the Americans had managed to order and their food was finally ready, a waiter came out doing circles with the plates, not knowing what table it was for. I caught his eye and pointed at our table. He rushed over and asked me what was my problem!?!? On the Sunday evening, after a hard business weekend, the staff refused to find us a table because the bar tables were taken and the restaurant tables (we intended to eat after a few drinks) were not open yet. We were shown a group of chairs out on the grass under a tent, which was directly in the sun and very hot…and full of bugs. We only got seated after I refused to sit in the grass and I insisted on seeing the manager. Finally on Monday morning at breakfast there were no napkins on our table. My partner reached over and took a napkin from an empty table and was reprimanded by the staff! The physical surroundings of this hotel are OK in the way that four star chain hotels are these days, that is: efficient, clean and unremarkable. But the staff is absolutely horrendous and obviously have an internal culture where their own rules and political/cultural beliefs (this is a French speaking hotel) have made them completely forget who is the guest and who is the employee. They should simply not be working in hospitality I travel constantly all over the world, and I seldom write reviews. I know many kinds of hotels and know what to expect. The restaurant food was good if a bit overpriced. But the service was simply singularly bad and probably the worst overall experience I can remember. This hotel needs a top to bottom review from senior management of the hotel chain.

The cleaning of the room canbe better orgenized . We had to wait twice to the cleaner The general information in the desk is quite poor The resturant dishes are non profesional, We had to leave most of the food behind , and did not use the resturant any more . On the other hand

I have stayed at the Best Western, which has clean bedrooms, comfortable beddings and a beautiful patio view of lake Geneva. My only comment is that it is animal friendly and the smell throughout my stay was disgusting. Restaurant has good food, but service during breakfast could be slow with little variety, still better than American buffets. Overall a pleasant experience. PS: you need a car if you stay here.

Location is little far from the center of town but nice and clean. Thay offer free shuttle bus. Staff are kind and helpful. Restaurant is OK. Lake side view is recommended. Good area for bike, running and walking. There are nice size gym and SPA.

The hotel is good for conferences. It's far from the big cities (Geneva and Lausanne), therefore, the participants may concentrate on the interaction among themselves, not with the tourist attractions (except for Montblanc on the horizon, of course :-)). If you want some rest from a chaos of your business, it's also a good place to be, you'll feel almost like a hermit: walking in the fields, going to the Geneva Lake, etc. There is a good supermarket nearby, and on the French side just 5 km away, there is a lot of cafes and restaurants which are open till late hours, and are three times cheaper. The only thing which really irritated us, was an enormous number of flies, which would zip through your room, sit upon your food, and bother you in all the other ways which flies are really professional at. I wonder why the hotel management would not apply some simple fly-fighting measures, starting from sticky strips hanging from a ceiling, all the way through to such complicated and effective devices as high-voltage traps where all the mosquitos and flies are immediately incinerated in a flash of lightning.

I went for s business conference which being held at the hotel as well. I was very impressed with the cleanliness, room as well the service in the hotel. The food was very good. The location was ideal for the stay.

The hotel was greatly understaffed and that led to some stress to the personnel (especially in the restaurant/catering area ) who was often unable to help and was perceived as not really caring. The plates and the cutlery in the restaurant weren't very clean. Some of colleagues were not able to sleep at night since there was loud music coming from downstairs, (party/wedding), and the music went on all night long. The acoustic in the hallway and in the room was not good and the rooms were pretty noisy.

Clean but very small room in a quaint property. Free shuttle from and to the airport but make sure you book well in advance or else you get rides at inconvenient times. Main problem I had is that there were many flies and much of the food was not covered. Another problem is if you have any special meal requirements you will get a repeat of the same tasteless food for a hefty price. At the same time, the restaurant served one of the best veggie burgers I have had so had it twice in four days. But other lunch and dinners (on a vegetarian diet) were not particularly tasty nor did they have much protein and were expensive for what you get. My room was so small that I was glad my wife didn't come with me as the room would have been too crowded. Nonetheless, there is a special feeling about the hotel.

Fortunately I booked a room on the lake side of the hotel which was well equipped. The room service was not the best what we are used to get from Best Western hotels. At 3 pm the room still was not made as there was not enough staff available for room service. There is a water cooker and some coffee and tea available. Instead of black tea there was some chamomile tea (both yellow packages) in the room. When we told the maid she changed it. The choice of the menu of the restaurant was limited and cooking was average. The price is rather for a good restaurant. Other restaurants are far away. If you book this hotel better book a lake view room as the country side rooms are to noisy because of the motorway. pore
