Meg's garden-side cabin with private hot tub, firepit

Summary:

Only 5 minutes from downtown Chattanooga, Meg offers a private hot tub, a furnished back deck, a covered front deck with a charcoal grill, and a shared fire pit. It can comfortably accommodate up to 4 guests, with a main bedroom and a sleeping loft.

The Space:

Wauhatchie Woodlands is a family-owned collection of quaint, tiny-home, rustic-comfort log cabins on a 14-acre wooded property surrounded by National Park land. This natural setting is nested less than a mile from the city with quick access to downtown Chattanooga, Ruby Falls, Lookout Mountain, and the surrounding area.

Named after Frank & Nicole's niece, Meg is equipped with everything you could ever need to make the most of your time in Chattanooga.

Meg is one of our delightful rustic cabins. During your stay, you’ll enjoy a private hot tub, furnished back deck, covered front with charcoal grill, shared fire pit, and an incredibly memorable, charming space surrounded by nature.

Meg can comfortably sleep up to 4 guests between the main bedroom and sleeping loft. The cabin is equipped with a full kitchen, smart TV, private washer dryer combo, & more.

Starting from the back, you’ll find the fully furnished deck, surrounded by decades-old trees, there awaits a space of pure relaxation, your private hot tub, with easy access to the main bedroom. Just off the deck is the shared fire pit and picnic pavilion, perfect for fireside chats and evening s'mores. Firewood can be purchased on-property.

Inside, the main bedroom hosts a queen bed, closets for hanging clothes, lots of drawer storage, and a Smart TV. Just outside the bedroom is your dedicated washer and dryer combo unit on one side and the full bathroom with bathtub on the other.

A step further we enter the kitchen, fully stocked for cooking/dining with an electric range, microwave, stove, full-size fridge, dishwasher, and all the dishes you need to whip up a vacation feast. The living room and kitchen feature an open floor plan with vaulted ceilings with the main TV across from the sofa.

Up the staircase is the sleeping loft equipped with two twin beds. Kids will love having their own space. For grownups, clearance in the loft is low, just 4' - it’s perfect for sleeping, just watch your head when you get up.

The cabin’s covered front porch with dining set is the perfect place for a morning cup of coffee, or grilling out on your dedicated charcoal grill (guests must provide their own charcoal).

Chattanooga is a city known for its railroads. There are active train tracks that border the property to the north and I-24 is about half a mile away. Please note that light sleepers may be affected by the ambient city and train noise. Each cabin has been equipped with a white noise machine to help minimize any disturbance.

We are pleased to allow dogs at Meg Cabin, under specific terms and conditions. See our house rules/notes for more information.

Pack ‘n Play Travel cribs are available upon request.

The Hot tub needs new headrest. There needs to be a better system for when you exit the hot tub and enter the cabin, all the dirt and water enters right there inthe bedroom. The floors are coming apart in the bed room. The train really takes some getting use to!!!

Weekend in Chattanooga

We loved the cabin. It was clean, had everything we needed, the neighborhood is super cute, and was an easy check in/out process. The only downside is the location. It is right next a busy set of train tracks so it made it hard to sleep. We would definitely be back if it were in a different location. We’ve already started looking at their other locations bc we felt the only con was the location.

Great little getaway cabin near lookout mountain, ruby falls, and rock city...train tracks were close but cabin was insulated that you really didnt hear it unless you're in the hot tub. Came with all the essentials, plus had coffee, spices, etc that you easily forget to buy on trips...definitely recommend and will definitely be staying here again
