Unique accommodation….. in a great way!
We really enjoyed our stay at the Sandpiper. Lovely view of the sea in the distance. The wood fired hot tub was a fun experience, the beds are very comfortable, essentials for a kitchen, nice shower. It’s amazing what comforts they have managed to fit into that space. Be prepared for some traffic noise as it’s close to a fairly busy road. LOVED Bamburgh, strolling magnificent beaches in the area and a day of exploring Holy Island. Lots to do that’s for sure.

Lovely break
Host was extremely helpful leading up to our stay and provided lots of useful information. It was next to another shepheard’s but you still had plenty of privacy. The garden area was spacious and the hot tub was amazing! The hut itself was very cosy and toasty when the log burner was on. The bed was comfortable. The shower was warm and powerful. The kitchen area had everything you needed. Sleeping under the stars was amazing and we had great views both nights! You are about an hours walk away to Seahouses which isn’t too bad because you also have lovely views on the way. It was peaceful and just what we needed. You are close to a main road and it was quite noisy but living in the city it didn’t bother us too much because we are used to it. Host provided Prosecco and chocolates which were a nice touch. It was easy to set the fires for the hot tub and log burner and the host provides starter packs and you have the option to purchase more wood. (We had to buy two extra bags so be mindful of this and take cash for the honesty box) we loved our stay, it was well needed. The only thing I could say is, the hut itself could’ve done with a bit of a dusting as a lot of cobwebs were visible however I guess that adds to the authenticity. Overall we had a marvellous time and would stay again!

Hot tub getaway
Very good experience, from easy booking , plenty of information from host, the Sandpiper was exactly as described and easy to find just outside Beadnell, plenty of great beaches, walks and places to eat. Very cosy with the wood burner stove, beds comfy (double bed a little high but realised there were stools for folding table under it that could be used as a step) the wood burning hot tub was lovely, thoroughly enjoyed it even though the weather was a bit cold. The shower was great . We greatly appreciated the wine beer and chocolate(thank you ) as well as toiletries tea, coffee milk , cleaning supplies etc . The only slight downside was being next to the road although had secure garden and parking area between the road and shepherd's hut. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a relaxing break.
