A former schoolhouse, the cottage has undergone total refurbishment and is tastefully furnished and well equipped throughout. The lounge/diner is stylish and spacious, and the accommodation has the convenience of being all at ground floor level. The bathroom has been replaced in 2025 and now offers modern fittings and new shower.

Fallodon Burnhouses enjoys a rural setting, and the generous garden to the rear includes an acre of private woodland, which leads to a shallow, unfenced burn (children must not be left unsupervised). The surrounding rural views are idyllic and from the rear of the cottage look towards glamorous Doxford Hall, with its luxurious spa facilities and restaurant celebrated for its excellent cuisine, half a mile away.

A lovely house and garden with good amenities.

A lovely house and garden with good amenities. Easy access to nearby towns and the Northumbrian coast. The only issue was with the main bedroom, which although nicely presented, felt cold and damp - bed sheets in this room definitely not properly dried/aired.
