Call and confirm that your room is actually ocean view. We booked ocean view only to get pool, other condo and a small part of the ocean in background. Said they were all booked up when we asked to change rooms.

The check in communication was not really clear. We never got a welcome or check in email with check in details. Called Wild Dunes to get that information and was placed on hold and never helped. Finally got the information when we went to check in.

Nice. Quiet, and clean. We would go back when returning to IOP

Last year I stayed in a suite in the Village area and it was wonderful, so I thought I'd book a condo for a few friends and I to enjoy the beach. Unfortunately, the condo was outdated and poorly cleaned. There were hairs and mold in every jet of the jetted tub that I easily cleaned with bleach spray, which tells me it wasn't cleaned at all. When I cycled it brown debris swirled around the tub. There was no housekeeping for the 3 days we were there (disappointing). Our beach view which I'd paid extra for was blocked by all the trees, so the beach was not visible at all. We did however enjoy beautiful weather and a relaxed environment, which ultimately is what we came for. I would stay at Wild Dunes again but it would only be in the Village hotel area. The condos appear to be poorly maintained.

the grounds were huge, almost like a Disney resort. the problems were, 1- the unit was not like it seemed on the website; it was dated, dusty, and some parts were dingy. the unit was nice, but not what we expected. 2-we were under the impression the unit was part of the hotel area; it was so far away from the hotel we needed to drive there, the pool in our area had no code so we were unable to get into it. 3-the cards designed to coordinate with the towels, was a great idea, but no one was ever at the counters; we had to call over or wait or wash them to resuse the next day. the access to the beach was convenient and the beaches are incredible. the beach chair/umbrella rental service was great!! we just felt that Orbitz did not adequately make the consumer understand the type of condo this was and where it was located etc. we were under the impression we would have been given a resort view; which in theory you look out onto the hotel property however we looked out at the other condos in the front and a golf course, where just outside our bedroom were golfers!!!

Have stayed in the area several times and within Wild Dunes in a rental home that was wonderful. So, we were excited to return and give the condos a try. When booking our condo, we had a choice of either resort or beach view-no option for a particular place or location within the resort. We chose resort view, because the whole area is beautiful and we wanted both privacy and quiet. We were told the actual condo selection would be made by the resort the day of arrival based on availability. When we arrived, staff told us we'd picked a great time to come since it wasn't very crowded. This lead me to think that our condo selection would be great since there were more open options. Not the case. We ended up in a condo at the very far side of the resort. We were welcomed with rotting on the front porch, front door caked with spider webs and very dated interior. There was no patio space to enjoy the beauty around us, just the front porch with two chairs which was shared with the space next door (no privacy). This was no where near in line with what the website showcases as their 2 bedroom/2 bath resort view condos. Really feel that we were taken advantage of and simply placed in a low end rental. I suggest definitely asking questions at check-in about where you will be staying and its condition. The rental definitely wasn't in line with other options within the resort.

This was a 2 bedroom condo at Summer Walk managed by Wild Dunes. Beautiful view of ocean and great location inside of Wild Dunes Resort. Everyone was friendly and courteous. We would definitely go back.

At Wild Dunes for a tennis tournament. The courts were within walking distance as we were in Lagoon area. Perfect. Having a kitchen available when there for an extended time, and tournament such as this, was ideal. Bar with restaurant was very good, and did not even need to leave the resort on a couple of nights

Facilities were good except TV in master sitting area and master bedroom. Did not use other bedroom. Master bedroom room is very old and small. Master sitting area is larger but old, and it takes two remotes to get it to work. One for Wi-Fi and one for TV.
