I’d stay here again

Convenient location. We were able to leave our bags in the ski room for a few hours after checkout. Staff is friendly. Breakfast was adequate. The one and only negative was that the toilet was in its own room and felt quite claustrophobic.Closing the door was tight and I’m not a big person.

I travelled with my family, including 2 kids, around France. This was my son's favorite hotel out of the 3. It was great having a separate room/space for the kids. Hotel was clean and cozy, even during the summer. My son loved the lobby and giant chess board. I loved the balcony overlooking the river and mountain view. The breakfast buffet was wonderful. Location was perfect, just a 5 miute walk from the center. We ate at the pizzeria next door, and it's just down the street from Le Monchu. We did not have a chance to try the pool or spa, etc. I'm sure it would be great after a ski day in the winter. The staff were all very nice, and ee were able to leave our bags there for awhile as our departure was several hours after check out. We walked to/from the bus station as well as to all of the activities in the center of town.

My holiday started off poorly as my baggage did not arrive with me. I received it 5 days later. The staff at Lyret were empathetic and so supportive in helping including taking receipt of my luggage when it arrived even after I had checked out. They were ever so kind and helpful. I am grateful.

The room was very nice and had a lovely balcony with a view to remember. The outdoor space behind the hotel was next to a stream, it was peaceful. My only complaint was the shouting and arguing in the middle of the night from people on the street below. There is not much the hotel can do about that. I had to shut the doors which made the room much warmer than it already was. Request a room on the water side if street noises bother you.

We had two fire alarms, one at midnight, sounded for about 20/25 minutes, we went to the reception on evacuation mode and the personnel in the hotel was standing there instead of walking the floor and telling people it was a false alarm. Then it happen again in the morning, very, very early, same thing. No instructions or anything, not even an apology.
