They have a room up near the lobby that they have converted into a small kitchen. It is very nicely decorated and gave us access to pop some popcorn while on the road! It was a nice touch for a country hotel. :)
The place is falling apart on outside and inside. Ice machine not working,light switches not working Ceiling tiles in bath falling down the toilet seat fell off when i went to raise it. There was empty food containers in every drawer the ac smelt like some chemical disaster had to leave it off. No chair to sit on.the carpet disgusting the deal bolt didn't work a tent would havebeen a blessing
Hard to get to my room. Every time I went to the front office no one was around. When I first checked the clerk didn’t explain anything to me,,like the free coffee and where it was located. I don’t know I was just disappointed.
Bathroom was disgusting, hair everywhere. Didn’t even take a shower because it was dirty
Exactly what I was hoping for. It's an older property but my room was evidently recently renovated. The room was clean, it smelled nice, and the matress was good. I arrived late and left early so that is all i wanted.

We stayed in the hotel for 3 days. It is neat and clean, with good parking space and a wifi. In general, surely recommended for trips and activities around Challis.
The hotel is older, but the service is great. The owner/operator is very accommodating. Don't expect a Marriott, but it is nice for the price and location.
Challis is a town of 1000 residents in the middle of nowhere. There's not a lot of moneyed tourists passing by. So this hotel is what it can be. A friendly stay in clean but pretty outdated facilities. For what matters to me - clean sheets and a working clean shower - this place delivered. If you have a problem, the hotel manager will do her best to address it. If I ever make it back to Challis, I'll probably stay here again.
I was not sure about what to expect after reading some previous reviews but to my pleasant surprise I totally enjoyed my stay and got a great nights sleep on the pillow top queen bed. I can only speak for the first floor which had been renovated. I would stay again if ever passing through Challis on another Idaho motorcycle trip. :-)

Oh Wow! I am so very sorry. This is not normal. I wish you would have told me upon seeing the issue and I would have compensated you in some way or even moved rooms for you. Please in the future do not hesitate to tell on site Managers any issues you have. I know in my case I would have been more then happy to make your stay a great one. As I was not given a chance and had no idea. Thank you for your comments. I definitely will be having a housekeeping meeting with all housekeeping staff as I do not know what room you were in or what floor you had so that I could hold housekeeper responsible for this. It is my hopes that you have a great rest of the year and that you give us another chance to prove ourselves.
