I think this property far exceeds the way it is described online. It is a bed and breakfast not a hotel so there isn't a front desk. The room was lovely and clean. The madame who ran the place was polite and friendly. The continental breakfast was pleasant and enjoyable - croissants, yoghurt, cheese and meat. There is free parking on the road outside and the property is right in the centre of Chalais. There are numerous little shops within metres of the property. If you go to this region, I would highly recommend staying here.
