Dont stay here

It was terrible. I arrived late and they wouldn't let me in and said I'd have to find somewhere else. I had been working 30 mins away all day with no reception. When I arrived at Cessnock at 10pm I had a text and missed call form them. I buzzed the intercom at the front doors and was told that because I missed the 9pm reception that I couldnt stay and would have to fund somewhere else. I've stayed at this hotel half a dozen times when I'm in the hunter for work but never again.

Great place to stay. So quiet, always clean and smells fresh, great sized rooms with comfy beds and friendly staff. Highly recommend and I won't stay elsewhere when working in the Hunter.

Great staff but let down by the old uncomfortable beds. We had 3 rooms between us and each was the same and all had a bad night's sleep due to the beds. Outdated rooms, huge kettle, remote for air-conditioning/ heater faulty in 3 rooms. The wifi did not work either, could not connect or find the ips address given. Location was great as was the lady at check in.
