I decided to treat myself to a New England getaway. I booked a room in the meticulously maintained mansion. The room was cozy and elegant. Spent some time on the grounds, taking in and photographing the georgous gardens with mountains in the background. Lovely and romantic!
My husband and I just returned from a weekend at the Castle!! We have traveled extensively throughout our lives. We always return to our second home . I don't know where to begin. The staff welcome us as if we were family. We have never experienced such a kind, professional , and courteous staff and management. We adore the history of the castle and it's magical setting. Where do I begin describing the dinners we have experienced ? Perfection from the chef and all of the staff. We are very fond of Dianne, our server. I adore her friendliness and love of life! I will not reveal our favorite room. That's our secret. We were actually sad to depart for home. We are a professional couple who enjoy our time together. I want to thank Andy and your entire team for such a great visit once again. Please visit and sleep on the marshmallow pillows!! This place is amazing !! Go and discover our second home!! We hope to visit before the snow falls. There is so much to do and explore in the area.Thank you again, Andy , Dianne, Paula , Alphonse, Kierstan and the entire staff for being who you are!!!
My husband and I have traveled extensively...to 27 countries. We've been to many restaurants. Our dining experience at Castle Hill was the best ever. The food was out-of-this-world good. The servers were extraordinary. I am GF and the chef made sure my meal was prepared safely. The Rack of Lamb was melt-in-your-mouth tender. I could cut it with a fork. My husband's Beef Wellington was the same. The sauces were amazing. If you book a room at this gorgeous resort be sure to include dinner. Even if you don't stay at the hotel be sure to visit for dinner. The resort is lovely. Kept in the period (early 1900's) it takes you back in time...beautiful dark paneling and magnificent ceilings. The grounds, including the large patio were great for outdoors walks. Our room was very comfortable and clean. Charming. We plan to visit again as soon as we can.
My GF and I stayed in a 1 bedroom condo up the hill for 4 nights and were most impressed. The condo was spectacular. Huge living room with 42 inch HD TV, bedroom with 32 inch TV, full kitchen with full size ice and water dispensing fridge, dishwasher, stove and microwave, full bath with walk-in shower and jetted tub and a half bath to boot. There was also an outdoor patio/sitting area with some chairs, but no table. We called the front desk to inquire about getting a table for the patio and they blew us away by putting in a new table with 4 chairs set. AWESOME service. I can't think of anywhere else I'd rather stay if I choose to visit Vermont again. I highly recommend the 1 bedroom condo. BTW, they have a great pool with hot tub on the grounds. 5 stars all the way.
My wife loves Historic Hotels and the Castle came up on here search, we are sp glad it did. This place checked off all the boxes. Great location that was an easy drive on great Vermont roads. The Castle is located on top of the hill with great views. The grounds are fantastic, the staff very accommodating to your needs and the room was fantastic. We had dinner in the restaurant and the menu and the food superb, not to mention an awesome wine list.
Romantic place to stay if you want or need to get away from the hustle and bustle. Time at the Spa is a most, as is dinner at the restaurant. Heather, our server, was awesome! Breakfast is continental, which was fine with us. The room (#6) was spacious. The bathroom was modern and nicely done. Only downside was the ac unit. It kept the room cool but was too noisy. There was an attempt made by maintenance to repair. It fell short.
Stayed in a beautiful room in the Mansion - what a great place! Kierstan was so welcoming and informative. We loved going to the spa on the premises, and enjoyed relaxing in the sauna, pool and hot tub. The meal at the restaurant in the mansion was excellent! Perfect getaway spot!
Our daughter gave us a weekend spa and hotel for our 35th Anniversary. Castle Hill is in a small quiet town in Vermont. The facilities are very nice, comfortable, and clean. Staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. Food and drinks were a bit pricy, but it was our anniversary. Highly recommend this venue if you are visiting Vermont.
Peaceful, relaxing, beautifully preserved, a lovely stay for a perfect long weekend getaway. The historic house is where you'd want to stay, it's absolutely enchanting. Spend some time in the hot tub and just unwind.
This is a wonderful resort !! My husband and I just returned this week, unfortunately to the tornado stricken CT. We adore the staff at the Castle and the reception area at the Pointe!! I looove our room in the Castle!! Dianne in the dining area is considered our family! I cannot express our gratitude in welcoming us as returning guests. We love the history ,beauty, wood work , etc. of this resort.. We always have such a fantastic stay! The weather was brilliant and we returned with a tan. We love that heated pool. It was so pleasant without screaming kids.See you soon!!
