Bill & Mary at the Birch Ridge Inn deserve 5 stars simply because they maintain their excellent guest services in the most difficult of circumstances. Despite a power outage in the middle of the night due to recent bad weather & power lines being down Mary prepared a full cooked breakfast, as well as making sure guests had emergency lighting & water. Truly awesome! Hope the power company now have you back up & running!

We stayed 5 nights in room 2 (the Antique Lace). Mary and Bill were very helpful and both have a great sense of humor. We enjoyed the fine dining offered in the restaurant. The included breakfast was all that we needed before starting out for our daily hike.

Been staying here every July for the last 8 years, and it never dissapoints. Rooms are clean and there is a good variety of price points to choose from. I've only had breakfast there, and it's always been delicious. The french toast and frittata are amazing. I always enjoy the conversations at the bar, and learning about the local current events. Will be back again next year.

We are on a small road trip with friends and stayed here for one night. You start off entering a coved drive that was cool to drive through and opens up to a quaint double A-frame structure. Mary, one of the owners greeted us and was so nice! Mary offered many suggestions for food and must-dos while in the area. A delicious home-made breakfast was included. Mary served puff pasty filled with scrambled eggs, sausage, peach muffins, amazing zucchini bread, juice, coffee and fruit. We were able to view the rooms and choose our favs- only because it wasn't peak season. After a day full of scouting out the area, we settled in at the lounge for some cards and dessert. The gardens were in full bloom and beautiful- a nice treat a winter visit wouldn't allow for. There was plenty to do in the area with Killington so close. We appreciated the gesture and speaks to the top-notch hospitality of our hostess. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We stayed for one night on our way to Maine. Mary (one of the owners) was there to greet us, was quick to offer many things that enhanced our stay - from room choice, to restaurants, to things to do, and just casual conversation on life in Vermont. She also prepared a lovely breakfast for us the following morning. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 would be truly minor things - My room needed an accessible outlet to plug in my chargers for my laptop and phone. I had to move a heavy dresser to find one. The overall decor while pristinely kept - is stuck in the 80's with it's country bunnies and decor of that era. Just a little cosmetic updating would gotten that 5th star for me.

We stayed here for the weekend to ski in Killington. Mary and Bill are the nicest people. I and my husband made the mistake of renting a tiny Kia instead of a larger car to go in a snowstorm from NYC to Killington. When we arrived we got stuck going up the hill and called Bill that we are going to be late to check in ( it was already 1230 am!). He was so understanding and nice about it and even came to help us with our car like it was no big deal. We are so thankful to him. The Inn is very beautiful outside and inside. There is a beautiful cozy lounge with a bar and a fireplace to relax by after skiing all day. The restaurant atmosphere is very romantic and the food was top quality. There are a variety of interesting choices on the menu! I loved their homemade bourbon and caramel ice cream! The room itself is very nice and we woke up to a beautiful view of the woods and the mountains. Mary's breakfast in the morning was very tasty and I love how we had muffins and bread still warm right out of the oven. We are definitely coming back here next winter and recommending this place to our family and friends.

Birch Ridge Inn gives off authentic vibes. The owners are on premises and the entire staff is cordial and friendly. The atmosphere is warm and inviting in the winter. The tiny inn, having 10 rooms, is very close to Killington Ski Resort. The menu is small. The prep is acceptable. The bar and lounge by the big fireplace is the draw. Originally a private corporation chalet, it is now a business venture run by folks who clearly enjoy what they do. Romantic spot !!!

The hotel is very quaint. It’s a small hotel and the staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. They make breakfast every morning, which is included in the stay. We had delicious fresh baked zucchini bread, muffins, and french toast. I would be happy to visit again.

I had the pleasure staying for a ski vacation. Very beautiful and elegant inn. The inn owners Bill and Mary are extremely helpful and their hospitality is great. I halovely conversations with both of them and enjoyed my time in their inn. I had room #2. It was updated, clean and comfortable. Plenty of electrical connections to your gadgets. Large updated bathroom. HD TV with a good signal. Food was great as well. Lovely elegant restaurant where you can dine in the evening and where you have a delicious breakfast. Many menu choices. I loved my stay. Thank you. I highly recommend the inn and I will stay again. Yehuda
